A great café with surprisingly great food and solid not earth shattering coffee at a reasonable price in a great space that doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not. Simple, industrial, clean, well designed but fairly minimalist in décor with regular art collections/shows that fit well with the general feel and flow. Maybe my favorite place to work in Baltimore, which is a little odd considering they generally shut down their wifi everyday in the afternoon. Ok sure I get it, community, unplug, talk to your friends or strangers, etc. but everyone knows they’re just trying to increase lunch hour turnover by inconveniencing people and this certainly comes across as a bit pretentious and asinine. On weekends it’s usually fairly full, but not overly crowded which shows they know what they’re doing. If I lived in the neighborhood, this would be my Saturday and Sunday morning go-to. 4.25÷5

Great place. Nice atmosphere. Truly enjoyed going here with my boyfriend. The green tea was amazing. We also enjoyed the food specials for the day. I had a turkey and Swiss sandwhich while my boyfriend has a black bean burger with saracha. PERFECT.

Great atmosphere, good music, free wifi, and good coffee and eats. This my favorite place to bring my laptop and get some work done.

I go here 3 times a week minimum and love everything about it! The drinks are good, the food is fresh and the baristas remember regulars. It also has a wonderful ambiance and work space, however it does get busy and sometimes are to find a space to sit and do work. That’s the only downside, but shows how awesome this place is!

I’ll tell you the truth, I wasn’t a big fan of this place at first. It was too hipster for my taste but this place is nearby and so I’ve met up with ppl here quite often both casually and professionally and every experience has been positive. I’m a big fan of their breakfast sandwich which is available all day. I’ve never gotten any of their other sandwiches. Good coffee and chai lattes. Recently, they have changed the set up so that it’s just big tables that you have to share with other patrons. I thought I’d have a hard time with that but it’s been ok in all sorts of circumstances. Very good neighborhood coffee shop.

It’s across the street from Parts and Labor(and though I’m a fan of theirs, they kind of suck in terms of lunch dessert options and I have raging sweet tooth)…so I might have come here a time or two(or 6) for a pastry. Or affogato. Or both. Ok both. It’s tasty, they’re chill here but downside is that seating can be limited. Very limited.

I really, really like it here and wish I lived closer. The interior is really pretty and you’re able to sit inside and do your own thing without worrying about being bothered or distracted. I’ve only ever gotten iced coffee here, it was really good, I barely added any cream to it. Would love to go back for lunch asap to get one of their sandwiches, they all sounded amazing. Friendly service and fair prices too!

This place has a great feel to it. It has the essential interior brick that I love in Baltimore and plenty of windows to enjoy your visit. I ordered a bold coffee and enjoyed it black(it was so good, there was no need to alter it with cream or sugar)

Love love love Charmingtons! I had a work meeting one day last week. The environment is super chill and everyone minds their own business while enjoying treats. I had an iced coffee which was perfect and didn’t need any doctoring. I also had a chocolate chip muffin which was the perfect chip to muffin ratio. I’ll be back!

I tried my very first Affogato here the other day. Espresso poured over ice cream– is there any better way to start off your day? Friendly service. Prices are fair.

Green kale smoothie is absolutely delicious, though I wish when I order it there I could get it in a glass instead of plastic! Service is awesome. This place is great for vegans and vegetarians.

Charmington’s is a great looking café and has a lot to offer. Food was good as was my espresso. Unfortunately, they shut off the wifi during busy times and they didn’t make my friend’s chai properly(made something else instead) and made her feel like it was her fault. Overall an OK experience, but not the best place to get work done.

Not exactly fast food, but the bagel sandwhiches and coffee are totally worth the wait. I love stopping in here on my way to mountain bike trips for fuel.

Charmington’s is the coffee shop that does everything right. From sandwiches, pastries, and the like. I dont really drink coffee regularly but will pop in every now and then get a sandwich, ice-coffee, chai latte and some strawberry drink that pops on the menu when its warm. Check it out.

Charmington’s is a casual coffee shop a little off the beaten path, but worth the trip if you want a good cup of joe and a snack. The cookies and other bakery items are pretty good, but I can’t say the same about lunch. I’ve had lunch three times, and been disappointed every time. No matter what wrap you get, you’ll be overwhelmed with greens, and underwhelmed with what you thought was the main component. They’ve also been dry, and rather bland. Stick to the warm bagels and pastries for a breakfast or afternoon snack. Lunch time tends to get crowded, and the food just isn’t worth it.

You have to really love the atmosphere here to be a regular. First off, it’s a gorgeous building, BUT… Let me tell you… They have a simple menu, coffee, iced coffee, espresso drinks, tea and maybe 2 or 3 other drinks. I wanted an coffee and asked if I could get it iced(it was a hot day for goodness sake) and got a we only have enough coffee for half a cup.” No, i do not want to pay full price for a half cup of ice coffee. Also, just make an iced pour-over. I have been to many other Counter Culture coffee places to know how this works. So instead, I went with the cappuccino. They messed up the grind of the bean so it came out bitter. So again, you have to be a lover of the place I guess. I really wanted to love this place, but it’s not for me… 2 stars because I’m nice and I like the idea of the place.

This place is within walking distance to my house and I frequently walk by it with my dog. Finally one day I went in and was pleasantly surprised! The café is more spacious than I imagined and the menu has plenty of seasonal items to keep a regular from getting bored. Your standard bagel with cream cheese is actually very good considering it’s Baltimore(former NYer here!) and the cups of coffee are both generous and of great quality. I’ve never seen it packed, there’s usually just a handful of people scattered about with paperbacks or laptops. I like that! It has a really nice laid-back vibe while still feeling very warm and friendly. The staff is also really informative about the selection they offer. It’s a great place to take a visitor or significant other for a quiet and slow breakfast, or to haunt solo without feeling weird about it.

Cool coffee and sandwich shop. I ordered the BLT and Jasmine Green Iced Tea, both excellent. The BLT had a the right amount of salty and fresh elements. The tea was exactly was I needed! I love how they offer simple syrup for the tea. The atmosphere was quiet, I really enjoyed the shop.

Latte art is something that fascinates me, I think it’s so awesome how a barista can turn your typical steamed milk and expresso into a work of art. After a quick google search, I found that Charmington’s in Charles Village not only has latte art, but great reviews about their food as well. So a friend and I headed over to Charmington’s for coffee and a quick bite to eat. When we got there, obviously the first thing I did was order a latte because that was the reason behind our visit. The coffee was delicious, they brew Counter Culture coffee which I already knew I was a fan of so the latte of course didn’t fall short of my expectations. We also each ordered something to eat. My friend ordered a Bagel with Cream Cheese. I’m from New York originally so I am a little bit of a bagel snob and don’t order them just anywhere, but my friend liked her bagel very much. I ordered the BLT and added Turkey and Avocado to it. The sandwich came with oven roasted turkey, bacon, garlic aioli and avocado. All of the ingredients were very fresh and the sandwich came together nicely. While we only came to Charmington’s for the coffee, we throughly enjoyed everything we ordered and cannot wait to back for another meal.

Make sure you pick up a drink loyalty card. I really like this place — they do a great job with coffees and the food is crazy good considering its a coffee shop. Beet salad? BLT with avocado? I am not a huge fan of sweet — so I haven’t had many of their sweet treats, but they usually smell outrageous. I am a huge fan of their kale smoothie.
