Chef Von’s Cafe

Last week I stopped at Chef Von’s café as he was closing. I introduced myself, inquired about his offerings and sampled his peach tea with fresh grated ginger (delicious!). I promised I’d be back to try his food and that was the best decision I’ve made all month!
Yesterday I went back and had 6 crab balls w/​a biscuit and the food was amazing. His biscuits taste like love. Yes, I said they taste like love. My coworker had a chicken wrap which she loved. Today I went back and ordered the chicken strips w/​mixed vegetables, and TWO biscuits (because I wanted to taste that love again!).
Chef Von is personable and I can tell that he loves making people happy with food. I probably will become one of his regulars because the food is THAT good.

Chef is the man.. he always acknowledges me when I come through plus makes a mean juice n avacado burger

Being that I visit Lexington Market on a frequent basis, I had noticed that Chef Von’s Café had a «coming soon» sign up for a bit. They’ve been open for a few weeks now so I decided to go there today.
I had the ordered the chicken tenders, which comes with mixed veggies and a biscuit. They serve choices of dipping sauces. I decided to try the mango sauce, which was very yummy. While the tenders were frying, they smelled VERY delicious.
Once I got home, I devoured it. I have never tasted fried chicken that was so flavorful anywhere else in the market.
I can’t wait to come back to Chef Von’s!
