Is it possible to have a chocolate hangover? If so you surely had one after The Chocolate Affair last Thursday, February 3, 2011! From the moment you walked you in, you felt as though you just found the golden ticket and you had just walked into Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory(you know the scene with the chocolate waterfall and all the edible delights).

Every year in early February, Health Care for the Homeless puts on a charity event called the«Chocolate Affair.» If you love chocolate, this is the place to be. When I went a couple of years ago, there was TONS of food, where a lot of local restaurants try to have a chocolate theme(like cocoa-flavored fish), cocoa-nib salads as well as the high-end chain restaurants like Morton’s handing out the more standard pieces of steak + mashed potatoes. It’s $ 75 per person, but it’s still a *SWEET* deal(get the joke) because you will definitely be full with all the samplings, and a lot of places hand out drinks as well. Also, you feel guilt-free because it’s all for charity — you’re sacrificing yourself to eat chocolate to help the homeless. So you can feel good about yourself.
