Ed was exceptional. He quickly returned my call and scheduled my 6-​unit property for a total termite removal. He was knowledgeable about his trade and was helpful to explain any misconceptions I had with removing pests. He was sympathetic to explain procedures and sensitive to my stupid questions. His pest services removed all termites from my building and I will use him in the spring for my primary residence!

Ed is the ONLY pest mgmt that should be used in Baltimore! He is amazingly thorough, sweet, kind, understanding and trustworthy. He is also reasonably priced. Ed was prompt for every appointment and worked around my schedule to acomodate my household needs. This guy is truly A+ material. The problems were essentially resolved after his first visit, however he came back two more times to treat and ensure no future pests would return. I cannot speak highly enough of his great personality and work ethic. Will recommend to ALL!

Can’t talk enough about Ed! He’s the best! He came out a few months ago to help with a rat problem in my ceiling. I had used another company prior and they charged twice as much as Ed and had crappy results and attitude. Ed came out, two days after calling him to inspect, then came back 3 other times to treatment and maintenance.
I recently had another mouse problem and Ed came out within a week to check it out and treat my house. Not only is Ed great at what he does he’s an awesome guy.

When I called Defend Pest Control and spoke with Ed, I knew he was the man to help. He was informative, accommodating and super polite. He kept me in the loop when communicating with my renters and called me with updated on the remediation process. Dealing with an infestation of any kind is never pleasant, but Ed made me feel at ease and I knew that he was doing a great job. Understanding what Baltimore city home owners deal with on a daily basis is one of their greatest strengths. I had a pesky rat problem. Not only did he lay traps, but he spent most of the time around the foundation sealing possible entry spots. A pest control specialists knows that you have to control your environment and that’s what he did. He spent a lot of time sealing up entry points in the smallest of crawl spaces– places I’m sure others would avoid. He and his crew are dedicated.

I had just bought a house in Baltimore and wanted to do a little bit of demolition in the backyard. For some reason, Baltimore City requires that a pest control professional visit to site to inspect for rodent infestation prior to demolition, and so I was on the hunt for someone to take care of this for me. Some other people I contacted first either had nobody who could do the inspection for at least a week, or told me they would need to set traps and wait a while and basically waste a lot of my time and money. So I hit Unilocal and found this company, run by a super friendly guy named Ed. I called him up and he informed me that he could do the inspection by the end of the week, and gave me a very reasonable price to do it. I gave him my address and expected to hear back within a few days. A few hours later, Ed called me back and let me know the inspection was done and everything looked fine. He emailed me the city inspection form, completed, along with a bill for the previously agreed upon amount.
I can’t speak to his abilities as a pest control professional, but I will say that his level of professionalism throughout our entire transaction, along with the confidence he projected, leads me to believe that this guy is your best bet when in need of an exterminator in Baltimore.

My SO and I have been dealing with a pest problem in our unfinished basement. You know what kind of pest… the Baltimore kitty cat, AKA rats :(Apparently unfinished basements aren’t good in Baltimore because rats can burrow up from the dirt. Gross. We’d been through a few pest control services and finally called Ed at Defend Pest. He was super pleasant to deal with on the phone, made scheduling appointments easy, and did what no other pest company had done: gave us a solution, not just a band aid to cover up the problem.
I would recommend him highly to anyone in the Baltimore area having critter issues. No matter how bad your problem is, I’m positive he can get the job done!
