Prices on the website are wrong. I paid $ 117 for single process color and a blow dry! Website shows single process color is $ 35 and blow dry $ 25. Employees lounging in the reception area. My hair stylist was professional though.

Wonderful place. Nice atmosphere, nice staff, excellent stylists. I’ve recently moved from the NY metro area and had wondered if I’d be able to find a hairdresser to duplicate what I’d been getting. No, I didn’t find that, I found better! Kevin’s color is the best I’ve ever had; Lisa does a great job with cut and keratin. The results are consistently superb. As I said, wonderful place. I won’t go anywhere else. DK Salon definitely deserves a full five stars!

I have been going to DK Salon for 5 years. Lauren cuts & colors my hair. My hair has never look so good. I am always being ask who does your hair. DK Salon feels like one big family. I highly recommend D K Salon.

I’ve been a regular customer at DK Salon for many years. I recently tried another salon for a haircut and color. Bad idea! My hair color was too red, brassy, and my cut had too many layers. When I went to DK Salon for a pedicure, I saw Denise Klicos, the owner. When she saw my hair, she offered to correct my cut and color. Denise conditioned and cut my hair and corrected the color. My hair looks fabulous. The style is very sophisticated, and the color is a beautiful shade of auburn. I also had an Express Keratin treatment done. My hair style is elegant and maintenance free. I can style my hair in 15 minutes. I’m very pleased with my fresh, new look.

I got a haircut from Danielle, and I was really satisfied with my haircut.
She was the perfect mix of doing what I want, while also giving her strong input as a stylist (I had really, unnecessarily long hair). I really like when a stylist will step in with expertise when necessary, and Danielle did in a great way.
I also really liked that she was open and honest about what was possible and what wasn’t. I had been growing out straight across bangs for 9 or 10 months, and I wanted them blended in, but still wanted to keep the length. but Danielle said it wasn’t possible and if she did it, it would ruin my look. I was sad, but I liked that she was open, rather than fulfilling what I wanted and making me look bad !
I also got a deep condition, and it made my hair really silky, shiny, and smooth!
One drawback: they charged extra for everything because my hair was long– it makes sense I guess since they use more product and it takes more time, but I wish I was notified when I first got there because I specifically asked about the price when I got there and it was different than the price I ended up paying.
All in all though, the salon is great and I really liked the staff/​my experience overall! Would definitely go back

FIVE Starts for-​Amanda, my stylist, and I followed her from Studio 921 where she was far better then any of the other stylists. She is the most creative and technically savvy hair stylist I have ever been too. She knows the latest trends-​from color to cuts, and she can actually DO them. I have not been let down by her once.
THREE stars for the Salon-​You aren’t allowed to add a tip to your credit card transaction, and if you don’t have cash you are screwed because that means you have to drive a couple of miles down the road to an ATM. This is a complete inconvenience. There is a small fee that enables the credit card transaction to add tip and the cheap owners wouldn’t go for it despite several stylists saying they would go for it and help with the fee.
The average is a «4 star» review because of the Salon.

Best Haircut EVER! Robin did EXACTLY what I asked for, which if I must admit has NEVER happened before! Either they take off too much length or don’t style it properly… In short, It couldn’t look better in my dreams! They totally accomodated my requests for organic products and were not pushy AT ALL. Robin even double checked before she went a little shorter in the front to make my long locks blend together with my grown-​out bangs. I LOVE the communication and the owner is a very kind respectful woman who I came to find out is my neighbor! Best Salon in SMALLTIMORE, Hands Down!

Margaux is amazing! I hadn’t gotten my hair done in months (maybe even years) and the color had really gone downhill. I’m blonde and she really fixed my roots and lightened up my all over color. She was really attentive to me the whole time, bringing me magazines I left at her station and making sure the lightener for my roots wasn’t uncomfortable on my scalp. A week later she also did my wedding for my hair and I loved it. It was half up, very clean and exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend her.

A great haircut is like a great pair of jeans:
1) Most get the job done, but when you step into that perfect fit, you know immediately.
2) The right choice upgrades your entire wardrobe.
3) You pay for what you get.
Erin at DK Salon gave me the first great haircut I’ve had in at least 5 years. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some very nice cuts over the past half-​decade, but nothing that really wow-​ed me. This was not the case with Erin.
I received a coupon at the February Unilocal Elite Event at the Four Seasons for a complimentary cut & blow dry, and decided to freshen up my do this past Saturday. I arrived at 3 pm to the bustling salon, and was immediately greeted and offered refreshments. The salon is sizeable, with posh modern décor, and an open feel. Despite how busy they were, I only sat a few minutes before Erin retrieved me and settled me into his zone. As I droned on about how I love my hair long, and all the nitpicky requirements I have of a haircut, he circled around me, primping and analyzing my locks, and finally suggested his «Diamond Cut». He explained the Diamond cut is his signature technique for long layers. I’ve had long layers for years, but gotten bored with them, so I was intrigued. He explained the cut in detail, and after receiving my go-​ahead, ushered me back for a shampoo.
After a lengthy, relaxing, and refreshingly unrushed shampoo, I sat in front of Erin a second time, ready to see what this Diamond cut had to offer. Gathering my hair at the crown and nape into diamond-​shaped bunches, he deftly maneuvered the scissors through my hair, creating cascading layers and shape. Watching him, even with wet hair, I could tell I was on the brink of a wow-​factor. 30 minutes and several entertaining stories later, he spun me around to show me the finished work. And there it was: wow. Beautiful, bouncy, and most importantly still LONG layers curved down my back. This was one fabulous cut. I highly recommend DK Salon for any length: everyone I saw walk out had a terrific cut. But if you have long layers, I insist you see Erin for his signature Diamond do. As you stare in the mirror and make bedroom eyes at yourself and flip your flirty layers, you’ll wonder why you waited as long as you did.

I get my hair cut by Margaux and she is amazing. I moved to Baltimore almost two years ago with the worst hair cut; it was blunt cut with horrible layers. Margaux worked her magic and turned my nightmare into a dream. When I left, my hair looked amazing and somehow longer than when I walked in.
The Salon itself is amazing too, great staff, friendly and quick service. Plus, they alway have out a great cookie plate!

I like to write follow ups if my opinion has since changed from my original review. Although I think that Lauren was a great stylist, I have since changed salons. At my last appointment, she was 20 minutes late, which then caused me to have to wait 40 minutes for her to blow dry my hair. She did not apologize or acknowledge this, so I asked the shampooer for a comb and left with wet hair. I will not return.

My face looks and feels worse than before I went for services. I am fortunate enough to be able to afford facials periodically and have had many. I know my skin pretty well and how it will respond to different treatments. I was eagerly anticipating a good moisturizing facial to help with winter dryness. I waited 35 minutes after I arrived on time for my appointment. I expressed my needs to the aesthetician, multiple times. She insisted that I needed an acne facial, I asked her twice not to do that, knowing it would dry my skin out even more, actually exacerbating the problem because when my skin is dry my oil glands work overtime. She proceeded nonetheless and did the most painful pore extraction I have ever had. I asked her to stop, twice. She also did not do any facial massage, used products that burned while on, and there was no mask that I could tell. I am now left with pimples all over my face that were not there before, some broken blood vessels, and skin that is flaking and red, blotchy, toght and sore. I wish she would have listened to me and given me the type of facial I asked for. I will not be going back.

Amazing hidden gem in Mount Washington. Everyone who works here is so lovely and genuinely friendly, making your spa and salon experience relaxing and great.
I love my hair stylist, Amy, there. She does exactly what you want if you tell her what it is, and even surprises you with something even better than you expected.
They have valet parking available out front, and there is also ample metered parking nearby.

The services I received (manicure and a leg wax) were great. However, the salon was running way behind schedule and seemed to have some issues with rooms being double booked. Also, I had read somewhere that they didn’t let you put tips on your credit card, so I made sure to bring cash, but other patrons that checked out while I was waiting weren’t so lucky and were send down the street to the ATM. I think that the no credit card policy should be prominently advertised, or better yet, revoked.
