now that i am old and ruined, dairy is a travesty. This place makes me feel like an angel. I love everything I have had here. They are nice like at the yoga plant studio — and then I eat food! it’s not too late!!! thank god for this, hampden is like a hole of grease and white foods, but this is the true deal. Everything is good again. I love them. I love this place very much.

Back to Harmony for my healthy food fix. There was only one soup on the menu, a green lentil. I asked for a taste. It was tasty but Quite thick. I’m not a fan of thick soups because they fill me up and there is no space to eat anything else. I eyed the chalkboard menu in the shop and saw there was a quinoa burger as a special. After consuming cardboard for five days I wanted bread but not wheat based bread. The burger was served on a gluten free roll coated with crunchy sesame seeds. I asked for the avocado hummus and the tahini spread on the side. The sandwich was warmed and served on a plate with some ruby red Roma tomato slices. The first bite was delicious. I was in avocado quinoa sesame seed heaven with tahini coated tomatoes dancing around my taste buds. Who would think that this combo could produce such a foodie lovers experience, but it did. Again Harmony is my go to place for a very vegan experience. Thank you Renee and the staff. You continue to please. One more thing I bought a Paleo muffin for breakfast. It is made from carrots, cranberries and nuts. It looked very good but I can’t comment on the taste till I eat it later this week. Today(Fiday)I just ate half of the Paleo muffin and can’t believe it’s carrots. Very moist with lots of flavor with the crunch of nuts and tangy raspberries. So yummy!

I’m not a vegan or particularly gluten-free dietipster(new word) but I find Harmony to have some awesome dishes and great breads, muffins, etc. I like the lemon poppy muffins and there tons of high fiber snacks that will be tasty but not at the expense of your health vibes.

A little pricy, but the store layout is adorable and the workers are super considerate!

This place is absolutely AMAZING… adhering to a gluten-free diet is very difficult, however, if you suffer from all the symptoms of gluten intolerance very necessary. I’ve also been experimenting with a vegan lifestyle as well. Harmony bakery allows me to do both in a way that excites my foodie nature. I LOVE this place the staff(owners) are so attentive and patient and you can tell they are committed to a healthy lifestyle and not just making money. I have tried the: doughnuts, quiche, spinach tarts, muffins, and brownies… ALLGOOD!!! Definitely this bakery out!

It is so nice to be able to walk in and choose anything you like. It is a GF heaven, with many vegan options. Service was nice and the lady behind the counter was very patience with my young boys. Prices were also reasonable. We would definitely like to revisit when we are nearby

Maybe four and a half. Full disclosure: I am not vegan. I am not vegetarian. I have no alarms about GF, sugar, nuts, eggs or dairy. I basically eat what’s in front of me — and complain later. This place is gooood. I’ve had only savory treats, so I can’t speak for the sweet items, but the handful of things I’ve had have been so good, they’re almost revelatory. The spinach feta pie has so much spinach in it! And perfectly seasoned which shows a level of care and balance sometimes missing in healthy foods. Same goes for the chick pea pie, and –oh my god– the butternut squash cashew cheese pie. Do yourself a favor and have these things hot or reheated. The crust is toothsome and yummy in its own right. The polenta squares are also super delicious, a big luscious square heaped with whatever toppings they’re featuring that day. I then took home a pint of the quinoa salad and, again, the balance between ingredients, clean and fresh. Healthy eating is more than virtuous, it’s worth it. The place is cozy(if a little serious, in that vegan-way), but it gives good value for the money, I thought. I wouldn’t hesitate to take a meat-eater here. If they can’t appreciate it, their loss.

Hot chocolate with coconut whipped cream?! My tastebuds were in heaven. I purchased a sampling of their vegan and gluten free pastries and everything tasted great. Feels good knowing I can indulge healthfully. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Delicious savory biscuits, mediocre coffee, adorable ambiance. My friend and I stopped by to pick up a couple of tomato, basil, and mozzarella biscuits to bring back to our hotel for breakfast the following morning. If only we had had a way to heat them up! I definitely recommend checking out Harmony Bakery if you are in the area.

Okay I get that people will say«what do you expect for vegan treats,» but honestly I expect a lot more. I’ve had much better treats from other vegan bakeries. I do love the staff and the look of the place but I won’t return unless they do a pastry revamp. They need to look at what ingredients and rations will make a cake not feel like cardboard and taste like what I imagine dog food tastes like. The brownie was okay but chalky. Adding to that the coffee was old So disappointed

This place is hands down the best gluten free bakery I have ever been to. And I say that having been to some of the most well known bakeries in NY and LA. The people running it are incredibly nice, down-to-earth, beautiful human beings. It’s the kind of mom and pop operation that you feel really good about supporting. They are clearly dedicated to spreading good vibrations in the community. But not only that, their pastries and savory foods are so so good. Try the good karma bar, or the doughnuts, or some of the savory fare… Really can’t go wrong. And it’s all gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan. But I would recommend this place even if you don’t identify with any of these because good food is good food, and good people are good people. And Harmony has an abundance of both.

Off the beaten path but well worth the journey, Harmony Bakery sells a cornucopia of choice culinary comestibles. Sweet or savory, baked or raw, there is something delicious on offer displayed behind sparkling glass. The interior is intimate with a handful of tables and bar-style seating by the window; wrought iron tables flank either side of the entryway for those who wish to dine al fresco. Clean, rustic décor with local artistic flare creates a space that feels cozy and welcoming. The kitchen and prep areas are easily visible so one can watch the folks behind the counter work their magic. A pleasing aroma wafts through the air; a mélange of baked goods, spices and coffee grounds. Seeking a quick bite I dropped by Harmony Bakery to find others shared the same idea. The place was bustling with Hampdenfest attendees but I was still able quickly place my order and find a seat by the window. I ordered the Kale Salad. The kale was vibrant and tender, the red cabbage crisp and the«power crunch» topping added additional texture. I found the lemon dressing to be slightly bland and would have preferred more acidity and brightness but a dash of seasoning pulled the dish together. Light, refreshing, and filling it was exactly what I wanted.

Was gifted a fantastic selection of goodies from Harmony for my birthday. My fiancé went with a friend to pick them out so I cannot review based on visiting. Just on the food. The treats were out of this world. Finding out I no longer could have gluten, was heartbreaking especially after tasting a lot of establishment’s poor excuse for treats. Harmony makes me not even miss the gluten. You will love EVERYTHING from here. Some of my favorites were the cinnamon buns, the rosemary cashew cookies and the trail bars. There are so many amazing things I don’t even remember what I ate. If you are in the mood for some GF goodness. Stop in. Even if you don’t normally eat gluten free, you will LOVE their menu!

Harmony, I love you like a phat girl loves vegan cakes! I’d heard about this place and made it a point to visit after running an errand in the area during one of my «work from home» days *cough, cough* so it was noon on a Thursday when I ventured in here for«just one treat» the way one would venture into a Walmart for«just one thing.» What initially was a goal to try a vegan donut for the first time because a performed feat of purchasing a pizza biscuit, chocolate chip cookie, cinnamon sugar donut AND a spinach and cashew cheese tart. There’s no use in dwelling on one thing when everything was DELICIOUS and the fact that my total purchase came to only $ 14(with the most expensive item being the $ 6 tart) made it a total win! I didn’t intend to dine in but the friendly cashier enticed me with the offer to warm my pizza bagel up in their toaster oven so it’d be piping hot and tasty. Sure, why not? Speaking of staff, everyone had a smile and warmth about them that seemed to fit the warm feeling you’d expect if you walked into grandma’s kitchen waiting for the pastries to finish baking. There is a large beverage selection(including a variety of kombucha blends) but there also are carafes of fresh filtered water available for free. Stop on over, vegan or not this bakery rocks!

Harmony Bakery is a lovely little café with an impressive selection of sweet and savory goodies. Everything is vegetarian and gluten-free, and many of the items are vegan as well. Yet none of it tastes that way. The crusts on the tarts are delectable, toothsome, and not the least bit gritty or chalky(often what one finds with gluten-free baked goods). My sister and I split a chickpea coconut tart, a spinach cheese tart, and and arugula salad. Everything was vegan. The chickpea tart was luscious and well-seasoned. It reminded me of a delicious samosa with better texture and not as heavy. The crust on this tart was just perfect: crunchy with a little chew. It did not taste like a gluten-free crust to me at all, and I’ve tried a lot. The spinach cheese tart had a slightly different crust that was more chewy and less crunchy. This texture complimented the creamy cashew cheese and spinach filling very nicely. The salad had a lovely combination of flavors and was a refreshing respite from the hot weather. For dessert, we shared a karma bar and a rosemary cashew cookie. The karma bar had a wonderful texture, with layers of yummy coconut, chocolate, and oats. The rosemary cashew cookie was very shortbread-like without being too fatty or sweet. It was almost a little savory and was very unique in both flavor and texture. I could tell that everything was thoughtfully prepared with good ingredients, care, and love. The prices were quite reasonable, considering how much skill and effort went into making each item. Harmony Bakery is a great spot, whether you follow a special diet or not. Check them out!

An attractive space, awesome staff, and tasty vegan food makes this a winner in my book. Though we haven’t had much from here yet, each time I go I’m very pleased with the food, experience, and prices. Even if you’re not vegan, I promise you’ll love everything that they offer.

I met Don and Renee last weekend at the Waverly Market, and was impressed by their steady stream of loyal customers. What impressed us(my wife and I) even more however, was just how amazingly delicious everything was. I am not vegan, vegetarian nor do I eat gluten free. I am a carnivore that makes exceptions for chocolate and fudge and any breading that may be used to deep fry my food. But the brownies my son picked were moist and chocolatey, the pastries contained a flaky crunch and the hot foods looked incredible. So I had to visit their new café! I was met immediately with a full selection of all the tarts and sweets I had wanted more of from the weekend, plus much more. There were chocolate cupcakes, cookies, salads, pies and savory tarts. Don, Renee and their crew were not only hard at work, but talking and laughing and loving their work. Kahlil Gibran once wrote, «work is love made visible» and that was definitely true here. Although I took my goods home to enjoy, they retained their freshness and flavor. The chocolate cupcake and the spinach and mushroom tart were truly excellent. I’m excited to have found Harmony Bakery as a source for delicious baked goods and I’m happy to support a small business that promotes healthy alternatives and truly cares about their customers and community.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Harmony Bakery! You may have already tasted the goodness from Harmony Bakery if you’re a regular visitor at the Waverly Farmers Market or if you tried any of the gluten-free baked goods from Breathe Books Café(RIP). The owners formerly owned Puffins in Pikesville. Harmony just opened yesterday, but it already seems to be a hit. Every offering is gluten-free and vegetarian(but not always entirely vegan– there is cheese in and on some items, so read descriptions carefully). Just on the first day, I saw a wide variety of sweet and savory items. Savory: chickpea salad, quinoa salad, spinach-feta pies, spinach-mushroom pies(with cashew cheese!), mini pizzas(vegan and not), polenta tarts(vegan and not), chipotle hummus and raw crackers, soup of the day. Sweet: ginger molasses cookies, apple-oat crisp, biscuits with strawberry chia seed jam, almond jam cookies, chocolate chip cookies, lemon glazed coconut donuts, chocolate donut(I tried it! yum), fig cranberry pastries, and a variety of trail mix bars and balls. They also serve fair-trade coffee at a reasonable price, herbal iced teas, and a few natural sodas(Virgils). There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Everything I tried tasted fresh, delicious, and most importantly, didn’t weigh me down. I hope they are here to stay… there is more than enough junk food in Hampden. It’s nice to get a healthier bite.
