Walked in and saw Dennis the Menace in the back, loading up on candy… his slingshot in his pocket, ready to induce some indirect pain on Mr. Wilson in one way or another. He looked at me and said«This is a pretty cool store, huh?» I nodded as I made my way past a Christmas Tree of hanging Elvis ornaments and a stand of orange, blue, purple, and pink beehives. Ok — so Dennis the Menace wasn’t there really, but I swear his spirit was — popping from wall to wall in the back portion of HonTown where candy dreams are fulfilled for young and old. HonTown is oooozing with Bmore pride. There’s Baltimore-opoly, Natty Boh shirts, and even a map of the city with hometown celebs. Everything«Baltimore» is presented in a fun and festive way that told makes you smile. A simple afternoon visit on a random day is enough to make you happy. The shop is bright and spacious, with a great layout and the people who work there are friendly and let you browse without being overbearing. If you are looking for a hometown gift, this is definitely a place to check out.
