This place is how a doctor’s office should operate. I went in yesterday for a couple of fairly mild issues with my foot and left ankle. First off, great waiting room! There were people hobbling around and talking about their surgeries — swapping stories. What’s not to love about that — especially in Baltimore!(everyone was happy — about their surgical experiences — really?!!) When I got to the examination room, I was quickly met by a resident/intern(I don’t know the difference) and she examined my foot and discovered my problems without me even giving her the details! Of course, I did though, since I’m a talker. She said I needed x-rays which led me to immediately think I’d have to make another appointment someplace else, but NO — they did my x-rays right down the hall, immediately! Less than 10 minutes later, I was meeting with her and the doctor and they were discussing my very real foot problems and giving me decent advice on how to manage my pain. I’m not at the point where I’d benefit from surgery, but I will definitely be visiting this place again if I ever have a foot or ankle issue.

I was hoping never to have to come here again, but after a recent ankle injury that was misdiagnosed as a fracture by PatientFirst I needed to see an orthopedist. I’d seen Dr. Myerson when I broke my ankle three years ago, so I called up the food & ankle center again. They were able to squeeze me in with Dr. Jeng that same day and now hopefully I’m on the mend. Sadly there are a lot of lousy medical office staff out there but I was extremely happy with this practice’s staff. My health insurance is an HMO which means I needed a referral from my primary care doctor and for various complicated reasons getting that on short notice was a real pain. The foot & ankle center staff were great about helping me sort things out and were friendly despite the administrative headache I was creating for them. Once the insurance situation was sorted out I was seen very quickly, both by Dr. Jeng and another physician who was doing a foot & ankle fellowship(I can’t remember his name.) Both physicians were extremely friendly and did a good job of explaining what was going on with my injury. I’m not qualified to say how competent either of them were, but if you look at Dr. Jeng’s CV he’s a pretty impressive guy. The center’s director Dr. Myerson is also one of the biggest names in foot & ankle surgery in the world so I’m sure he only works with top tier people. I wish I hadn’t had to go here, but if you ever need an orthopedist for a foot or ankle issue then this is the place to go.
