This counter in the Avenue Market is off the beaten path of Unilocal in the historic Upton neighborhood (
). From the outside, the market may appear dicey, but it is, surprisingly, a sea of calm (especially in comparison to Lexington Market). I went, for the first time, this past Thursday and became an instant fan.
There is a wide variety of smoothies, vegetable drinks and a limited menu of curry chicken salad (a hot item when I was there), tuna salad, cakes and a few other menu items available for purchase. I ordered the Power House Vegetable Drink and it did not disappoint. It was quite scrumptious and even provided me with a jolt of inspiration to consider buying my very own juicer. The juices at Just Juice It are complemented by superb customer service so I’ll continue to support this local gem in the meantime.
