The conference has failed their last inspection. The place is dirty and their are multiple rodent traps throughout the kitchen. I’ve noticed the chef at times scratching where he had no business and didn’t wash his hands. You should save some of the drinks for the customers.

Booked my reservation and a week later called to cancel. Asked the lady I was speaking to if I could get the cancellation number. Was told that my confirmation number is the same as the cancellation number. Weeks later I find that I was charged for a night stay on my credit card. Called the manager and was told it was«my word against theirs». I did get a courtesy refund however, after being lectured on the«proper» way of canceling a reservation. So just a bit of advice, assume that you are dealing with people who do not know how to do their job. Always question every answer they give you and ALWAYS ask the name of the person who was helping you. Good luck.

Pretty solid. Was here for an overnight for work. The grounds are beautiful, and the location is very convenient to get to the areas I was heading to the following day. Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and the hotel itself was quiet. There were a few things that could use some updating. The rooms themselves are pretty dated. Maybe even carbon dated. The alarm clock was produced within 10 years of my birth. That’s pretty old, although it still managed to wake me up. Everything was clean, and the balcony was nice, so that’s okay. Breakfast was pretty limited, as was seating in the breakfast area. There were only a few tables in the area where the food was. Overall this hotel served the purpose and I would stay here again if I needed to be in the area.

This hotel is fine. It’s located on the John Hopkins campus, which is beautiful. As other reviewers have said, this place used to be a dorm. You can definitely still tell it was a dorm at one point even though it has been nicely remodeled. The rooms were small, and they had big balconies. I appreciated all the takeout menus in the room.

I stayed here for a conference so this is for both the hotel and conference center. I’d give the conference center 4 stars and the hotel 2 stars, so it averages out to 3 and you can read whichever is more relevant to your needs :) I think it’s a really nice conference center. The area is really beautiful, the facilities themselves(i.e. the conference rooms) are clean and well-appointed, the staff was great, and the food was excellent. I loved that they kept us well-supplied with delicious meals, snacks, drinks and caffeine throughout! The hotel left something to be desired. The staff was really nice and friendly and the rooms are clean, but they are very dorm-like in a lot of ways. Definitely good enough for staying at the conference though since I had no free time! :) Overall had a nice stay here and would recommend it, especially for a conference or meeting.

The room was perfectly fine: what I would expect given the rate, although the bed was a bit small. No complaints regarding the room. Nice balcony. The service at the front desk was pretty bad though. Very disorganized. We had to wait forty minutes to check in, because the front desk clerk was dealing with four irate people in front of us. At first I felt quite sympathetic toward the desk clerk, but then my patience began to wear thin. Two people ahead of us were supposed to have rooms, but they weren’t ready yet, so they were hanging around with their bags in the lobby, grumbling. One man was completely berserk because they had no room available for him and his family even though they made a reservation two weeks ago. They sent him to another hotel located over 20 minutes away, but the process was extremely disorganized and took forever. We were at the hotel for a wedding, and we ran into some other wedding guests who told us that they had problems with their reservations as well(the hotel thought they were checking out a day earlier than they were, and their room key stopped working and needed to be reactivated). We were so happy to just get our room without any issue besides waiting 40 minutes for service.

Clean and comfortable without all the extraneous neon signs! Close to where we need to be without the excessive cost. I’ll stay here again!
