Tough review, because I’ve eaten here many times and the food is usually a solid 3 stars. Monday’s are usually 30% off sushi, but for some mysterious reason, December 28th is either a holiday or a special event so, no discount given. Worse, the kid behind the counter played dumb when I asked for the manager. So, from a customer service perspective, I’d give them a zero.

I love this place. They offer a variety of foods. From sushi to soft shell crabs. And they have a great happy hour and weekday specials on foods. I’ve been here a bunch of times but the last time I came I ordered the soft-shell crab sandwich. To my knowledge, this is the only place that actually offers soft-shell crab in Federal Hill or maybe even Baltimore city. It’s usually ~$ 14.99. But on Mondays, luckily it was on the specials, making it $ 12.99. It was delicious and I can’t get enough of it! On Monday’s during happy hour, they have 30% off sushi prices(unless it is a holiday). That’s another reason I love this place. The sushi is cheap and the environment is chill and gives an old school Baltimore market. The oysters here are also good but I do wish they had happy hour specials like that of Ryleigh’s($ 1 oysters). Additionally, I ordered 1lb of muscles to share with my friend. It came with about 12 – 14 muscles, but the only problem I had with them were that they were dry. Yes they do come with butter and old bay, but when you eat them straight from the shell they are dry. Overall, this is my go to spot for crabs, sushi, and soft-shell crab sandwiches. It’s not like a sit down restaurant. You can come in, eat, and go with my stress of looking good or acting formal. It’s the chillest spot and on football Sunday’s it’s a great spot to grab a beer and watch Ravens games.

Love the location in the cross street market. I called and they said that they had steamed blue crabs available. Started with a bowl of Maryland crab soup. Very tasty with fresh vegetables and hearty stock. Not quite enough crab in it though for my taste. Ordered a dozen Blue point oysters and they were excellent. So good that we ordered another dozen. Here’s where things turn south. I ordered six steamed blue crabs. some were fresh but at least three of them you could tell that they had been cooked previously and then reheated. The meat in the claws was very is quite possible that all of them were reheated since none of them were very hot. My daughter ordered a half pound of king crab legs. These were terrible. The meet was dry and there was no flavor. Again it appears that they were reheated or just not cook very well. My daughter attends college in Baltimore and I visit occasionally to see her and to bring her to and from home. When I was a kid we used to catch dozens and dozens of blue crabs when we would visit South Carolina so I know how steamed blue crabs are supposed to be eaten. I’ll keep looking for a place for blue crabs in Baltimore but it won’t be here.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. I highly recommend the hot spicy hand roll, which perfectly blends tuna and spicy mayo for a mouthwatering flavor. Their cream of crab soup and crab cakes are also must-try dishes. I also personally really enjoy the onion rings here! Aside from these, just about an seafood here tastes incredibly fresh and you really can’t go wrong. Be sure to order a 32oz beer as the perfect complement. The atmosphere here is lively but laid back and perfect for watching sports games. The service is also great with friendly and attentive servers. I would definitely recommend this place!

Great food and selection. Kim served us — she was the best! She offered suggestions when we couldn’t make up our minds and brought us an extra plate just in case since we were splitting platters. Relaxed atmosphere.

Hard to imagine a better, more affordable, place for super fresh seafood. Blue Point, Maryland, and Chincoteague oysters par excellence. Huge, fresh, and they preserve the liquor. The way it’s meant to be. Crab cake in a New York steakhouse, please, not even close. Lump crab, huge pieces no filler. Absolutely delicious. Finally, our server, Kim, was pleasant, helpful, and working hard. A perfect spot.

Food is good and it is a great spot for O’s games or Ravens Sundays but other than that Cross Street market is just too gross to be in. Can’t see myself drinking a 32 oz beer on a slow Thursday considering how dirty it is. Great for large groups due to the open floor plan.

What a cute area! We ordered the steak fish, crab cake platter and soft shell crab… no one had any complaints… I wasn’t blown away, but I had a good time… really good… I would go back… it was actually really good… very crabby crab cake not bready… This neighborhood makes you forget about the crazy going on 2 miles down the road…(riots and what not…)…there’s a view of the stadium… I’ll post pics…

I walked in today and was surprised to see they had crabs for sale the best part was I did not have to buy a half or whole dozen that is hard to find in most businesses that sell crabsThe atmosphere is awesome here along with the unusual beers served by the 32 ounce most the time in other places I would pay the same price for a 12 ounce I couldn’t believe the large beerI was also surprised by the many different age of people here getting along and enjoying themselves it’s not a regular restaurant where you sit down and get served you can float around and go from one part of the bar to the other I have had sushi in the past and it was fabulous it’s made fresh right in front of you I seen one family having sushi little girl was so excited when it arrived I recommend anyone who is looking for Maryland style seafood to come here this is the spot and lots of people watching here also enjoying themselves, the staff is awesome and friendly

Giant 32 oz. beers, friendly service, great sushi and oysters… What more could you want? If you’re visiting from out of town, please make this a stop on your visit. This is Baltimore. Fun spot to watch a game and people watch, too.

Was here with a friend for an early dinner. Seems like this is a big happy hour spot, evidenced by no parking and no seats available outside. We were seated right away inside, ordered a few drinks and got talking. My friend had the sliders and I ordered the steamed clams and mussels. My friend enjoyed his sliders, as they featured all of his favorite seafood. My order, on the other hand, was sad. Everything was small and pathetic. They tasted fine, not good but fine. I had to order an appetizer so that I didn’t go home hungry! I ordered the ahi tuna and it is nothing to write home about. The drinks that they brought were good, as was the service.

Came here out of town looking for a place to eat steamed crabs that weren’t super touristy. We got here and it was super crowded since it was a game night. However, we got quickly seated since they reserved tables for guests who are eating and everyone was really helpful. Despite it being really loud and crowded, our food came out quickly and everyone was great. Unfortunately, the bartender/waitress informed me they were out of Maryland blue crabs :(We settled with snow crab, a dozen Maryland oysters, steamed clams, calamari, and the soft shell crab sandwich. Maybe bc I’m from Texas and our seafood isn’t as good, but everything was delicious. The soft shell crab was HUGE and made a great sandwich. The fried calamari was super tender and great. The service was great and food came out quickly and piping hot. We were there for HH and they had some cheap beers on tap. My non-English speaking parents enjoyed it thoroughly and we had a great time.

Back again! Simple update: got to eat a whale-sized soft crab sandwich. Fresh? Yes. Tasty? Check. Filling? Indeed. Fries were a little off this time for some reason, but no big deal. Also, now I hear I need to try the sushi. Well, no harm done — I’ll come back.

Order of events… 1. Order Sushi FIRST.(On busy days like baseball game days it takes awhile) Pay. 2. Order fried Crab cake & beer second. 3. Drink beer at a barrel while you wait. Barrels are cool, beer passes the time and makes you feel happy. 4. Eat crab cake. They bring it to you. Moan happily. Pay. 5. Consume more beer. Moan happily. 6. Eat sushi. They call your name. Realize it was worth the wait you hardly knew was a wait because you were consuming things happily in the right order.

On my first visit to Baltimore I wanted to make sure that I had some type of crab entrée. I came here for an early lunch on Saturday. Super casual atmosphere. I sat at the bar and the server explained the menu choices. I decided on the crab cake platter. See picture 27. It was exactly what I was looking for. The outside of the cake was very crunchy. It came with a soft bun and lettuce and ripe tomato slice. The french fries were fabulous. Perfectly seasoned. I loved the creamy coleslaw. The tartar sauce was great. Everything in that basket was perfect for me. After the hearty lunch, I walked around the neighborhood. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

What I like about this place: — The chillax atmosphere. You get to sit around on a bunch of stools sprinkled around large wooden barrels that are pretending to be tables. — The people watching. If you’re lucky, you might see a Canadian Tuxedo or two. There’s usually at least 2 – 3 bros talking about bro things. Which is always fun. And sometimes there’s a tipsy middle aged lady who wears leopard print tights. — Beer is served in soup to-go containers. Is it soup, or a foamy carbonated light broth? Who knows. — A preferred venue to the other locations nearby. I’d say no offense, but… Last time I came here it was because we were at Social(pie and pub) and needed to leave because I couldn’t hear my friend’s conversation over the blaring of Taylor Swift. What I don’t really like: — I don’t think the prices are really that great. I paid 9 bucks for a bucket of beer, which kinda feels kinda average. — I’ve gotten slow service in the past, without even the hint of a smile or wink. Yea, I kinda wish I wasn’t here either, now that you mention it. — Food tastes kinda average. I was here last week and I can’t even remember what I ate. I think that may speak for itself. So, in sum, I kinda like this place, kinda feel like I could pass on it. And if I had a dollar for every time I wrote«kinda», I’d almost have enough for one of those soup beers.

Had a great lunch with a group of 12. We ordered a variety of entrees including a couple dozen crabs from the great state of L. Everyone agreed that their entrees were excellent. The Rockfish and Crab cakes stood out. The steamed crabs were perfectly done and large was really large. Rustic environment in an authentic Baltimore seafood house. Ample parking. Service was very good even though the establishment was slammed. Very good price/value relationship.

Best and FRESHEST sushi in Baltimore. Hands freakin’ down. I hope it stays a generally well-kept secret. As i said, very fresh ingredients. All the fish is unbelievably tasty and tender. The rice is also made fresh throughout the day, so it’s always sticky and perfect, never dried out. The rolls are generally very simple — not a lot of tempura or fancy stuff. But simple is better in this case, because it really showcases the natural flavors of the ingredients. My favorite is the Rock-n-Roll: unagi, avocado, fish roe, and unagi sauce. A close runner up is the spicy tuna: it’s made with otoro(fatty tuna) and is actually marinated in spicy pepper sauce. None of that crappy mayonnaise mixed with siracha(sorry fans). My family has been coming here for close to or over 20 years and we consider Mr. Tony, Jesse, Jeff, and the rest of the staff good friends. ***The draft beer is good, the oysters are also great, and the shuckers are friendly. The fried seafood stall across the way is generally good, but there’s an Asian girl that works there that gets part of our order wrong EVERYTIME.***

LOVETHISPLACE! This is a staple restaurant where we bring our«out of towners». Food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. We typically get the oysters, shrimp, and CHEESEFRIES. Another awesome thing about this place is their 32 oz beers. Usually one is enough for me but sometimes I may move on to a second… and get drunk. The atmosphere is very chill and laid back. It’s a great place to hang out and stuff your face with awesome food. If I weren’t so busy with school and work, I’d love to come here more often after work to eat, drink, & chill with friends. The staff is SUPER friendly! They are always attentive and super nice. This is definitely a place to visit when you’re in the area!
