Orly Moving Systems

Excellent moving company. Simple and safe from start to finish. From scheduling to drop off. Tom was so friendly and quick with estimates and scheduling. The movers– Jesus and his crew were excellent. Very efficient they took very good care of my belongings. Highly recommended! Definitely will use them again!

Orly Movers was hired by my university to move a set of Indonesian instruments from Baltimore to Portland, OR. They picked up the instruments and put them in storage in June. In July they informed me that they would need to re-​crate them and would be sending in a week or so. Now it’s been over two months and they have stopped answering my calls or the calls from my supervisor. We have had to turn the matter over to our legal department for breech of contract. Horrible communication. Huge disappointment. Look elsewhere!

We had a very bad experience with Orly. They were very slow, we lost half an hour to an argument between employees, another half an hour when an exercise machine was disassembled in the middle of a doorway (so the workers not involved couldn’t do anything else). Our bed frames were put together using tape instead of hardware, scratching the floors when they fell apart, and they took down (but did not put back up!) door-​frames to get a freezer through.
The final charge was also about $ 600 more than the initial estimate, even though we had less furniture to move than we initially thought. During our subsequent discussions, the owner was consistently both rude and dishonest.
There are lots of movers out there, and it’s difficult to imagine a worse experience or company than Orly.

Great movers — these guys just moved my belongings (1 bedroom apartment) from Baltimore City to Baltimore County in less than 4 hours. Very polite, professional, quiet and safe. I had a few very expensive things I was worried about, but they were wrapped in tons of blankets and made it with no problems.
I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.
Also — their price was very fair. There were a few quotes I received that were more expensive, and a few lower — but my father recommended them to me, and it was a good call.
