Those who know me know«never ever again» is the most idle of threats. If I had a nickel… So with my gluten-free diet on hiatus, I was jonesing for my #74 extra spicy house lo mein. The service experience is still somewhere between 2 stars and the«Soup Nazi» from Seinfeld. but I decided to toss in an extra star for the most important reason, the food is decent both in quality and price. That and, I’m sure people are always bullying them for free food and claiming they messed up an order.

Their food is cheap, tasty and addictive. Delivery is quick and easy. Whenever I am in the mood for fast food, I usually prefer this to the burger chains in the neighborhood. Love the sesame chicken and fried dumplings. It’s not high end cuisine, but it wasn’t meant to be. Just stock up on soda, dive in and enjoy.

We encounter an awful delivery nut. He was cussing in our State Agencies, because he was unable to reach the person who ordered the food. I attempt to help him and I was ignored. He was saying the world FUCK loud in our State office while dialing the number. I was kind of scared that he was going to zap out. Once the young lady reach him he said nothing to her and would not acknowledge her present. This is a State agency –place of business. I would never order anything from this place and I will spread the word. Get a new job

I am not a huge Chinese food person in general, but I AM big on not having to put on real clothes and having food magically appear at my doorstep. Especially if I can order online and not have to talk to anyone. I tried Peking House on recommendation from a co-worker. We ordered a ridiculous amount of food in preparation of our Netflix binge and everything was delicious. Even the next day, everything was tasty. The delivery time wasn’t amazing, but it was a Friday night at dinner time, so, duh. I would definitely recommend Peking House to anyone who is looking for a reliable Chinese joint and I look forward to ordering from there again. Also, we got free Shrimp Fried Rice. Can’t argue with free!

I ordered tofu with vegetable combination and wonton soup. Taste was both very bland. Wonton skin was so thick and it was hard to bite into. I’m sure there are other things better. It looks to be doing decent business. But for me, I have to find some other place to go to next time.

Their food make me diarrhea. I order jumbo shrimp fried roc and chicken wings. It tasted good but after few hours, I had diarrhea. Urgg.

Great place been going here for about a year now. Real Asian people with fiery pans making tasty food. This is not a place you go for décor or conversation it’s mainly a carry out place but it has plenty of seating. A real whole in the wall with good food. The lunch special is $ 7 with a drink a just enough for for you not to slip into a food coma.

The egg drop soup is the same as every other Chinese place. The eggroll tasted as if it came out of a frozen box. The chicken chow mein was probably one of the worst I have ever had it was completely bland and tasteless. The fried rice was also completely tasteless. If you’re looking for basic food to survive then eat here, however if you’re looking for a good place to eat try and find someplace else. It’s not that the food was particularly bad, it just it wasn’t particularly good.

I had the General Tso chicken and chicken noddle soup. I got very ill in a span of 5 hours. I only tried a couple bites of the soup bc it was awful –watery noodles with bad tasting chicken. The white rice tasted terrible and I did not eat it at all. You get what you pay for. Never again eating there!

Decent food for very reasonable prices, my coworkers don’t appreciate it because the décor is lacking, but for a quick lunch takeout during work days, this place can’t be beat

Good, solid carry-out Chinese food. No, the place isn’t fancy nor is the interior particularly appealing. But the food was good and the $ 5 lunch specials make my wallet happy, especially given the expected large/multi-meal portions. I had the General Tso’s Chicken — I figured, having never been there before, this was a safe bet. It was better than safe — the chicken was tender, the breading was crisp, and the sauce was sweet but spicy, as it should be. The texture of the fried rice was perfect — not hard and crunchy and not mushy, it was chewy and just right! Also had the hot & sour soup which was flavorful and spicy! This was my first visit for lunch, but they were busy for the lunch rush, so they obviously have a client base in the area. The fact that you can order online thru their website and schedule pick-up for a time in the future(i.e. order lunch @ 11am for pick-up @ 12:30, in the event you get to busy to order as lunch gets closer) is super convenient. Overall, I’ll definitely go back and I would recommend it to anyone who has a hankering for some Chinese!

I should start by saying that this should be a daytime trip for those uninitiated in urban life. I’ll also add to no go into the bathrooms. Those caveats aside, this is some of the best chinese in the downtown area. I’m in town for classes for an extended period and am hitting this place at least twice a week. Just making sure I go the bathroom somewhere else first! If it were a little cleaner, it would be a no-brainer 5 star for me based on price and taste.

Came in to get cheesesteak egg roll. Yummy! Note to self, where are their gloves for handling the food. Why did the helper come in to start her shift, not wash her hands but began to touch the dumplings. That’s gross!

It’s decent, inexpensive Chinese food. I’ve only done lunch there and generally the same two or three dishes. The steamed tofu with broccoli is pretty good and the portions are a reasonable size. They also deliver within a few blocks of their location, so on a rainy day, our office will sometimes do a large order. They’ve never gotten the order wrong.

Great food for the price and they usually have very fast delivery! It’s nothing spectacular but I’ve never been disappointed with an order and they make consistently decent food(especially the«fast-food chinese staples» like general tso’s, sesame chicken and egg rolls). I’m also a fan of their cheese steak egg roll. It’s greasy but fantastic. Just make sure you order early if you want their lunch specials, because the place seems to fill up between 11am and 3pm and orders(delivery or pickup) can take a long time. At night delivery is usually pretty fast(I’ve seen as fast as 20 minutes from the time I placed my order).

This is no fancy Chinese restaurant, but the dollar-to-taste value is excellent. Their $ 5 lunch specials are great. Some items might be hit or miss, but I love love love their sesame chicken. I try to eat healthy but sometimes I just gotta satisfy a craving. I really liked their black bean sauce chicken, too, which wasn’t too salty. Outside of their lunch menu, the egg foo yong is delish and I’ll just say that it’s not healthy for you either. But that gravy sauce is the bomb :) They employ this chinese cooking technique which results in very tender chicken breast meat in their stir fry dishes, so you never get dry pieces of chicken. And their hot & sour soup is a great cure for a cold day… I eat out every day and I go there at least once a week… though I haven’t explored their menu too much. Hey, why bother if you find something you already like?

Best vegetarian hot & sour soup I have ever tasted. I love their cold sesame noodles too. Everyone I have ever brought there goes back on their own. A friend of mine in the movie business from L.A. is NUTS about their Egg Foo Yung. Try it yourself!

It’s cheap and they deliver. I don’t expect much from ‘Americanized’ Chinese grub, so Peking House is my spot for those thirty-degree nights when only bad Chinese food will hit the spot. That said, you get gobs of mediocre Chinese take-out fare for a 20-spot, and enough leftovers to last you two days. Student life has left me very lax in my food judgment. That said, the bbq pork spare ribs are decent and the meal specials(entrée and rice and spring roll for about $ 6 at dinnertime) are perfect for a student budget during finals.
