I don’t see what the big deal is. I went here after seeing Bunny Colvin and The Deacon(a.k.a. Melvin Williams) debating which sausage was the best on Season 4 of The Wire. The sausage wasn’t that big. The bun wasn’t toasted. Granted, it was tasty but I left feeling like I was jipped. I had to pick up a fish cake at Sterling’s on the way out because I was still hungry.

!!!LMMFAO!!! PJ’s(1) name certainly ain’t PC(2). But their Polish Sausages are OTC!!!(3) I can’t keep this on the QT(4) so I recommend getting your tuchus down here ASAP(5) to enjoy their tongue-tingling Hot N’ Spicy Polish($ 2.75) with Da Works. I prefer soothing their saucy«secret» mix of intermingling spices & chopped onion with a not too sweet medium-sized Half & Half($ 1.35). Or there’s my favorite 7″ Polish($ 3.25) with Everything which means Da Works & chili. Adding Ocean City Fries($ 2.50) is good, but one Polish is enough to satisfy my GLA(6). Sadly there’re no milkshakes on the menu here like at the other locales. And sometimes the staff can be a lil blunt. But get over yourself. This is in Charm City’s rough & tumble Lexington Market. Check your fragile ego at the door, Puddin’ Pop. WTF?!(7) You’re TTL!(8) This family run joint’s been serving up savory Polish fast and feverishly since 1921. It’s a BMI(9)! All my BFF’s(10) agree! HTFU!!!(11) 1) Polock Johnny’s 2) Politically Correct 3) Off the Chain!!! 4) Quiet 5) As Soon As Possible 6) Greedy Lil Ass 7) What The«Freak»?!(MF Unilocal TOS) 8) Taking Too Long! 9) Baltimore Institution 10) Best Friends Fo’evah 11) Hurry The«Freak» Up!!!(sigh) 4 stars overall IMHO

First star is for a solid sausage. Second star is for the authentic Baltimore experience. Third star is for the name. Fourth star is for its appearance on The Wire(granted it wasn’t the Lexington Market location).

I recommend getting the Polish sausage with the works(costs a little less than $ 3). The works is a tomato-based sauce with sweet onions and peppers cooked in it(different from the typical Sausage with Peppers and Onions deal). On a regular hot dog bun. Wished they would toast the bread a little before serving for more contrast in texture, as my sausage wasn’t super grilled crispy as I would have liked. Might have been that I walked a few blocks back to work to eat it.
