Went by here for some quick groceries. This place is either abandoned or closed permanently. There were no signs anywhere on the building and it looked like it hadn’t been used in awhile.

For a city that used to be a complete grocery desert, Pricerite really brings the much needed rain. I LOVEPRICE-RITE. I do not know how I would live without it. Easily walkable if you live near inner city Baltimore. Stocked with fresh and cheap ingredients. Located in a very nice shopping plaza. It is not a place with a whole lot of variety, but it allows you to eat healthily even when you are on a low budget.

I love Price Rite! This is by far the cheapest grocery store around. And I love coming here because it’s like a treasure chest – you never know what you’re going to find at the Price Rite. This is a good place to get your basic grocery needs – decent produce, good variety of ethnic foods and spices, Price Rite brand dairy stuff(which is super cheap), etc. Things that are always expensive like pita chips, soda, hummus, Boca burgers, are way, way cheaper at Price Rite. They sell 24 pack Diet Pepsi cubes for the same price that other grocery stores(even Foot Depot) sell a 12 pack for. You can also find random gems here, like Green & Black’s organic chocolate for $ 1.99(ridiculous). As I’ve lived in Pigtown, I’ve found the food selection here changes as the demographic of the neighborhood changes, meaning there are a lot more organic/health food options now than there used to be. I prefer to get my meat at Hollins Market because Price Rite doesn’t have a huge selection of good meat, but it’ll do in a pinch. Always clean, usually chill – depends on when it is in the stamp cycle how crowded it is. Minus a star because they only sell some random brands and I can’t satisfy my Diet Coke fix here because they only see Pepsi products!

I can almost do without this place. Now when they were saying they’d open a new market, I maybe thought it would have been something a little more pleasing. I hate when they bring in these cheap markets as if we need that. I want fresh food maybe a Giant would have suited me better. I just do not like this place for some reason. I cannot stand these off brand foods mixed with the brand foods and then it stinks in here. I’m just over it I guess. I come here for something really quick but that’s it!

This is an ultra-low budget grocery store. It is very clean and well-lit. Pigtown has long needed a grocery and although this isn’t the place to buy your swiss chard, pork belly or herbes de Provence, it is a good place to pick up the essentials and support a company that breaks up the West Side’s food desert. Note: bring your own grocery bags or you will be charged!
