I have gone here twice to see Nicole and both times I have left feeling like a million dollars! She is the sweetest and I’m so happy I found her. The first time I went I got an ombré color and cut and I got so many compliments on it I went back today and got my hair changed for the Winter… she helped me pick a shade that would go with my skin tone and I let her go from there, I feel super sexy and to say I’m overly excited to show it off is an understatement! Nicole knows her stuff and made into a reality exactly what I wanted. All the other staff is super sweet and this is now my go to salon. Nicole has definitely made herself a repeat client!

Since the day they opened their doors I’ve been a customer and HUGE fan. The level of expertise just isn’t found anywhere else in the Baltimore area. I see Johnna for color, Chas for my cut(history there) but the level of expertise is so remarkable that I am confident when Katie does my color or Johnna, Becky, Jenn, etc my cut. There is such a consistency to the entir team’s talents. If I need to Chang an appointment at the last moment I am confident in the skills of the person I will see there. Parking is easy: making an appointment is easy; and afterwards Silo wine bar is just next door. It is just the perfect experience.

My hair has been through a lot. I live in California and have a hard time getting the very cool, light, fine, and natural looking highlights that I desire. I’ve also had a hard time finding a salon/stylist that I can trust. Heather was about as close to perfect as you could hope for. She got my highlights very light and and not brassy at all. They were very even and fine with no striping. Moreover, she has a great attitude. She is a pleasant and very nice person. She is knowledgeable about products and helpful without being pushy. It was the first time in a long time of visiting various salons that I felt truly comfortable and happy. The rest of the staff seems very pleasant as well. The salon is aesthetically pleasing and relaxing. If you are picky about the shade of blonde you achieve(especially if you are sensitive to warmth/brass), I highly recommend Prive/Heather.

Let me start off by saying I moved to Baltimore from Washington DC where I’ve been getting color and highlights at George at the Four Seasons Hotel salon for 8 years. President’s wives, the Housewives of DC, news anchors and congresswomen went to George, I saw them. Before George’s closed, they were the shit, espexially with blond hair. Then George retired and sold his salon. I’ve since been coming to Jen AND Nicole from Prive for two types of color. Jen does blonds. VERYWELL. Loooove Jens abilities to highlight my blond hair BUT i decided to go dark after 10 years!!! And yesterday I went to Nicole at Prive to do dark brown roots with OMBRE to light brown/blond ends and she NAILEDIT. The last hair cut I had I paid $ 150 dollars for in downtown DC. Before which I spent $ 350 on a mediocre ombré color job. I’m writing this review on Unilocal because NICOLE deserves this shout out big time. I found my girl for dark hair with ombré. She used this technique where she teased my hair and then highlighted with the pick. It is blended beautifully! Color just fades naturally into the ombré and the roots are looking like my natural color which I haven’t seen in the last few years — since before I went blond years ago. I didn’t think Baltimore salons could do ombré! And I tried, studio 921, about faces, the edge, and M salon over the last couple years. Jen with the blond highlights and Nicole with the ombré are hands down Allure magazine highlight worthy :-)! And I’m a hair SNOB. The icing on my snob cake is Prive pricing is Affordable! 5 STARs FORJENANDNICOLEATPRIVE. I’m baaaaack.

I’ve seen Becky twice for a haircut since moving to Baltimore. I’ve loved my experience both times! Great cut, friendly stylist, and wine? Yes please. I have stick straight hair and so any mistake in a cut is very visible. Luckily, Becky has been a total pro. Only complaint is the price — even more expensive than my stylist at a big salon in Chicago! Geez.

This salon is great! My mom is a retired stylist so I grew up in the business. Johnna is fantastic! She gets my highlights closer to my scalp then anyone ever has! My mom even comes to her now. Becky does a great job on keratin treatments. The salon is beautiful, and located by Miguel’s and a wine bar if you want to do happy hour after your get your hair did. Their million dollar airbrush tan is also money. Not orange or streaky. Johnna is always super booked– I set up all my appointments for 6 months consecutively. Def always make your next appt before you leave!

Beautiful salon(even if their AC was out the day I went and it was a little steamy), Kelly was wonderful and gave me just the trim I was looking for while trying to grow my short hair out … but $ 70 for a TRIM? steep. pretty sure I can get a decent hair cut for less than that.

I just moved out West and had my first terrible hair experience at a local salon, so it only seemed right that I write a great review for the salon I’m missing at home in Baltimore! I moved with my stylist, Heather, to Prive when they opened and I never looked back! Heather is the absolute best and the rest of the staff is equally wonderful — Michelle at the front desk never goes without asking if you need a refill on your wine or coffee. The atmosphere at Prive is hip and fun, but the service is professional, down-to-earth and friendly. I was so impressed by Heather’s technique and knowledge… I’d never had highlights before and she walked me through all the different options(and shades) over the years until I found what I really love. She helped me to find my inner blonde! I was Heather’s client for four years(I think) and if I could commute back to Baltimore to get my hair colored and cut, I would!!!

I had a massage and facial here recently, and was just as happy with those services as I have been with my cut and color(see my previous post about this salon).

I have been a client of Johnna’s for many, many years. I’m an older gal and she keeps me looking young and fresh. Her color is so natural and beautiful. People comment on my hair all the time. The whole atmosphere at Prive’ is profesesional and sleek. These folks really know what they’re doing! Product recommendations have been spot on not only for me but for my daughter and several friends. I highly recommend you try Prive’ at Silo Point.

Moving to a new city is daunting, but picking a hairstylist at random can be downright frightening. Here is to the to having impeccable luck, because in Prive I found my dream salon. Top 5 things about Prive: 1. Location(Silo Point at Locust Point has easy parking, great views and Miguel’s-a phenom Mexican joint that will prep your take out while you get a chop) 2. Wine– or really any bevy you want, but mostly wine. 3. Lisa– She convinced me to revamp my hair into a style that I got me compliments from, «You look 10 years younger» to «That style is perfect for you!» 4. Pampering – Prive makes you feel like a guest from the moment you walk in, regular or noob 5. Price – It isn’t Super Cuts, but it isn’t ridiculous either One thing to watch is that you can pay by card, but you can’t tip on the card, so bring some cash with you.

I went to Prive today for underarm wax and a deep tissue massage. The esthetician(lady who did my wax job) was great. On the other hand, the massage was not worth $ 10, not to mention $ 95. The young women(in her twenties) was very inexperienced. Guess I’ll have to get a real massage this weekend.

I’ve been going to Johnna(at various locations) for over 5 years. I won’t let anyone else touch my hair. She is a perfectionist and knows her stuff. I change my hair up a lot and no matter what I want, I get. I can come in with any picture from a magazine and she will make it happen. She and Jen have done an amazing job with Prive– they are true professionals.

Since Johnna and Jen, both are longtime Baltimore stylists, opened this place this summer, all I can say is… it’s perfect! I always get a perfect haircut and style. I just walk away smiling and happy! And the coloring from blonde highlights to lowlights to helping covering up the few grays is always just top notch. Downsides: Both owners are hard to get into, especially for last-minute appointments. However, I’m sure I’d be able to trust any of the other stylists as well. The salon is on the pricey side(comparable to other local top salons), but it’s worth it! I can’t wait to try getting a facial or massage here too!
