I looked in and saw they had some awesome socks which I found hilariously funny. I am going to get shit done, and then later written on the toe. There was no price listed, so I go up front to ask. Some lady and man are complaining about how they didn’t get to eat, because they made reservations for three with a child, and they took the last child seat. Three people are looking at them ignoring me, I decide to not buy the socks and order online at
. I like supporting local businesses, but when I had the socks in my hand, and I would have bought, but got ignored by all three people, two of which were drinking beer, I decided to put the socks back and walk away.

This is the perfect place to go for gifts. They also sell poo-​pourri, which every office should keep in stock. I can always find something in here, and the prices are very reasonable. The owner is super friendly, and runs the shop herself.

Renee is absolutely a magician when it comes to hair coloring. She worked wonders on my hair, was very friendly, and really showed an interest in caring for my hair in the long term. She is fabulous and very reasonably priced!

They always have fun new products along with favorites. It’s a great Hampden store. If you ever need a gift go to Kiss N Makeup first.

Love this place! Only one of a few places that will do Minx nails which was a prom «must have». The nail technician was wonderful. The design lasted longer than expected and my daughter received so many compliments. Very special place.

This place is great, I never leave without buying something for my girlfriend. She loves the manicures there and won’t go anywhere else. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and the environment is so welcoming. They have everything from vegan makeup to everyday little gifts. They even have a store cat named Ms. Puff and they are animal friendly. Great place for gifts with a sense of humor.

This store is a gem. I don’t come for the make-​up, but for the excellent variety of small gifts and cards. The owner and staff are always friendly, funny, and helpful, and I can always find something awesome here when I need a last minute, fun present or a stocking stuffer. Another plus is the very lovely in-​store kitty, Miss Puff, and the owner’s dedication to raising awareness and funds for strays. This store is so much more than make-​up.

Kiss N’ Make-​Up is a trip to girl heaven done up with Baltimore flair. You’ll be called «hon» with 100-​percent sincerity as you’re offered help and sometimes, a beverage. This store is one giant welcome mat!
Sure, you could go to cheaper places (like the DOLLAR STORE! – the prices are pretty low here), but you won’t find the unique selection of absolutely cool finds. It really is the perfect place to find a great, one-​of-​a-​kind gift for a lucky recipient. I call this the store least likely to get a return. With funky, locally-​crafted jewelry, hilarious t-​shirts (WWBD – What Would Betty Do, as in Betty White), and even packs of gum to help you pick someone up at the bar. I go just for the giggles.
There is an excellent nail technician on duty named Julia. Yes, you can get your nails done and even your hair at the salon just a few steps up the back of the store. Ask for Renee. If you’ve got a little princess, have her birthday party here. Your daughter and friends can be pampered in style while drinking mocktails and checking out the über-​cool surroundings.
This store understands the meaning of customer service. You will always be greeted warmly and walk out feeling pretty good about your purchase. They sell a lot of earth-​friendly, animal-​friendly products. They also feed, vaccinate, spay/​neuter and protect a small colony of feral cats in the back. After all, true beauty comes from within.

Very girly. If you are a girl/​woman/​makeup user of either or trans gender, and if you are in Baltimore’s Hampden neighborhood, come here! They have a funky and very unique selection of cosmetics and beauty products to make ya’ look pretty, hon. The window shop displays are always changing and are always cool. The store sometimes can get busy, but if you catch them at a quieter moment, they may even help you with some make-​up tips! Nail polish in every possible color. Which comes in handy if you need that orange and black look for Halloween. Or red and green for Christmas, etc. Use your imagination. They do here! If you want cheap makeup, go to a Wal-​Mart. It will not even be that much different in terms of price. But the Avenue atmosphere is priceless! (In the interests of full disclosure, my wife helped me write this review. I have never actually tried their products, except the ones that may had rubbed off inadvertently …)
