Terrible! I am not picky, but this place was disgusting!!! We got our money back and left immediately after driving all day and getting here at midnight. Sheets unwashed and stained, towels stained, bathrooms gross, pillows stained and dirty. Clerk tried to hide from us when we went to try to get our money back and when he thought we left he came back out. AVOIDATALLCOSTS!!!

I can’t believe this is a Choice Hotel I read the reviews before and thought I couldn’t be that bad, but it was even worse. We booked two nights in a king size room but ended up staying only one night. The room was totally outdated and had a weird smell. The bed sheets had holes and stains everywhere. We also found different kinds of hair. It looked like it didn’t even get changed from the one before us. The aircondition is really loud, we tried to turn it off but it got so cold that we had to turn it back on and woke up every time it turned on. The bathroom is really small. The towels were dirty and it smelled also weird. Overall, besides the location I can’t say anything good about it. We didn’t even try the breakfast. Next time I would spend a little bit more money and stay in a different place!

Egads, this place is horrible. I’m surprised that Choice Hotels even allows it to exist. It was obviously a roach motel at one point in time, considering the setup and the proximity to other skeevy private motels, but I figured with the name it wouldn’t be bad, since I found it on my Choice Hotels app while driving on a road trip. Maaaaan was I wrong. The FIRST room they gave us was in the basement. Yes, the basement. No windows, barely any heat, it immediately gave me the creeps and I demanded my boyfriend get us another room. So the second room was in one of the finger buildings, and um… yeah. At first glance, it was much better, small, but for a pitstop we figured it was fine. Well, for one, the carpet covered a gaping hole under the bed that I accidentally stepped in several times. The bathroom was dirty and the towels were like cardboard and mismatched and, well uh, dirty. The bed was dirty also. while checking it for bedbugs, which I thankfully did not find, I ran into a great deal of hair which immediately grossed me out, so we cranked the heat and slept on top of the covers all night. I had to take a Benedryl to even consider sleeping I was so grossed out. We didn’t stay for the breakfast, that’s for sure. The experience at South of the Border the night before was far more enjoyable, they got 4 stars from me. If I could give this place negative stars, I would.

My first clue as to how bad this place was should have been the other hotel guest yelling at the front desk clerk about how dirty his room was, and that there was hair all over it!(gross) I thought I would give the place the benefit of the doubt, maybe that guy was the exception, not the rule. Boy, was I wrong. My sister and I had driven from Texas and were both exhausted(we checked in around 11:30pm). We got inside the room and were afraid to put our bags down on the carpet. We pulled the covers back on the beds and the sheets were a dinjy brown color, they didn’t fit the mattresses… And the mattresses, OMG. they were so old and broken down, they must have been 30 years old! Neither of us had the guts to actually sit on the beds. The bathroom was awful. The floor was dirty. I’m talking sticky, and really dirty. It looked like they hadn’t seen a mop in decades! When I went back down to the front desk and told the clerk that I just couldn’t stay and needed to cancel my reservation. She didn’t seem surprised at all. She asked why I was cancelling and I started telling her how awful I thought the room was, she stopped me mid-sentence and told me that she already knew why. The most positive part of my experience was the ease in which they cancelled my reservation. I wouldn’t wish this place on anyone. Seriously.

I’m no pretentious snob or anything, so I usually go into most things with low expectations. Which is a good thing, because the Rodeway Inn and Suites in B-more was right on target. LOL. I was looking for an inexpensive option for a weekend getaway for myself and my husband. You know, we were thinking, all we needed was a bed, running water, a sink, shower, toilet and of course free wifi. I guess my first clue that it was no frills, shouldve been when the clerk asked me if i was paying CASH or Charge. CASH!!! I almost asked if i could rent the room by the hour. LOL. I didn’t see any pimps or prostitutes lurking around, so I assumed, he offered that option to everyone! This place isn’t too bad. I’m giving it 2 stars because it wasn’t so great that I’d probably stay here again, but it wasn’t so bad that I chose to leave.(That’s my range by the way). The room was standard fare, king size bed with a desk, fridge, TV, iron, etc. The bathroom was the problem. While they had the usual stock of towels and cloths and free crappy shampoo(that i promptly pocketed) the grout around the tub was less than stellar. I mean I get that its hard to clean the grout, but they should at least paint it, or attempt to make it looks like the bathroom didn’t reside in a truck stop. *Sigh* This place was full to capacity. I guess in this economy, a room is a room! This place offers a Continental breakfast, which between me and you wasn’t all that great. They had white bread, plain bagels, butter and jelly(no cream cheese which is an unpardonable sin in my book), three kinds of cold cereal, milk, coffee, tea and juice. But wait. The breakfast juice was NOT orange juice. It was Orange Drink. Sunny Delight. They could slapped a warning label on that baby, because i pured myself a nice cold glass and almost spit it out when the cheap acidy taste of orange flavored crap hit my throat. One thing that DOES get honorable mention, is the fact that their Continental breakfast has waffles. No they’re not frozen. They have a waffle machine, and waffle mix from a fancy dispenser. The waffles are delicious and the syrup tasted great too! All in all, I would probably not stay here again, but the guests on either side of our room didn’t seem to mind, because we had to endure a rhythmic barrage of banging headboards at 7am, which was a nice break away from the construction going on across the street. LOL. Hey. what else is there to do in a hotel room with the one you love(or have at least paid for, for the hour?)
