Self Storage Plus

The nicest staff, I had been looking for somewhere to let me store my car long term.
They had a spot, and as long as its insured, you’re good to go. A+++++ from me.

I used this storage facility for my boat and trailer over the summer this year so I cannot attest to the locked units only the outdoor spots and customer service.
First I’d like to point out that for someone living in East Baltimore the location is fantastic. I’m in Fells Point and this was the closest and most convenient facility available with large outdoor storage. I had many small disasters the past year keeping my boat in the water so I decided to keep it on the trailer and launch as needed this year. The facility is maybe a mile and a half from the Canton War Memorial boat ramp, about as convenient as possible in the city. I could hook up my trailer and have the boat in the water in 15 minutes if all went well. The facility itself is clean, well kept, safe and secure.
Shane and his wife, who run this storage facility, went above and beyond the expected level of customer service. I was having some repairs done in the spring that were taking weeks longer than expected. They held my spot on my word alone that I’d be leasing a space and were completely accommodating when I ran into problems and delays getting the boat and trailer there as planned. My trailer slightly exceeded the facility limits on length for outdoor spaces but they made it work anyway, without any hassle at all. Also, since I’d be bringing the boat back and forth on a regular basis they moved things around and found me a spot where I could easily pull the trailer in and out without being blocked by other vehicles. Anyone who’s towed a trailer knows how much of a hassle backing in and out of tight spaces can be and they were eager to make my use of the facility as painless as possible.
I have since moved my boat to an indoor boatel that is MASSIVELY more expensive and any bending of the rules or requests for special consideration are treated as a person affront to their business. Nothing like the family style operation at Self Storage Plus.
It’s refreshing that there are still some places that consider making the customer happy priority number 1. If you’re looking for a storage facility in the city as far as I’m concerned there is no other choice.
