Host was rude, kept giving my date creepy, dirty looks. Fried calamari was all breading. Old Bay Fries had next to no Old Bay. Bison Burger was overlooked.

Just don’t do it. Service is ok, most of the staff is grumpy. Nothing on the menu is what it says it is. The steamed shrimp was crappy. No drink menu? Come on. I’d say just find somewhere else.

Closed now. Took company there on their final day open and enjoyed their crab cakes. It wasn’t anything amazing but it was a nice place. Here’s to a decent local restaurant that didn’t quite make the cut. Cheers.

In my personal opinion: We sat outside and had a view of the harbor that was nice but the inside would not have been as enjoyable. The service was knowledgeable about the menu yet they were still inattentive. My husband ordered the crab cakes and said they were the best crab cakes he had ever had. I ordered the portabella mushroom sandwich(off the menu). It was really good. It was not tough or mushy like a lot of places make the mistake of making. Overall I really liked this restaurant.

I’ve ordered from here a few times and picked up the food from the bar and never had any major problems(last time the guy didn’t hear me say I needed two orders of salad so I had to wait when I went to pick it up since they only made one — not too big of a deal). The food is decent, but for the price I feel like I should be getting something more — more food or more taste. SOMEthing… They have a pretty good southwest chicken salad and it’s a special with the rest of the salads on Fridays for only $ 5.99. However, you should note that the size of the salad on Fridays is much smaller than any other day of the week. I did not know this the first time I ordered the salad on Friday and was a little disappointed. I also heard that the $ 5.99 salads are not an option in the summertime. The fries(Old Bay and regular) are good and so are the filet sliders(made with steak, not fish). I saw someone order the Ultimate Nachos and they looked out of this world… definitely enough for 3 – 5 people to share and have more than enough for everyone. I may have to try that the next time I go. Outdoor seating in nice weather is a must if you can get it. The restaurant is right on the water and has a beautiful view. A lot of people seem to complain about the service, but I didn’t notice any problems.

Come here if you’re not from Maryland and you’ve never had good seafood. If this description fits you then the simple fact that this establishment is on the water is probably enough to keep you rock hard as you enjoy your miserable food. Two words. Tourist. Trap. Interested in seafood that actually represents what Maryland has to offer? Go to Thames St Oyster House.

Brunch, lunch, and dinner are pretty good. Best bloody in baltimore. Not fond of the service and if you go to the bar, expect to wait at least 20 minutes for a drink.

Shuckers has always just had average food and okay drinks. The real charm is the abundant outdoor seating. If you aren’t going to sit on the water to drink then find somewhere else to go.

I’m going to keep this super brief and painless… I expected WAY better for a place called«Shuckers»… I ordered the calamari — it was out in 5 minutes… :crickets chirping: 5 minutes for calamari? FAIL! It was obviously out of freezer… Calamari isn’t supposed to be chewy… Apparently everything everyone else ordered was delicious, there was seared tuna that looked good, some quesadillas, and one friend actually ordered oysters, and every one seem happy, but ME :( It’s up to you if you choose to eat here.

Best if you sit outside on a nice weather day. It’s adjacent to the water & the Water Taxi Marina. Went with a group and had a great lunch. The crab claw appetitzers were very tasty. I had the Seafood club with shimp and lump crab with season fries… it was delicious! If you get Jenna for your waitress you are in for a treat, she is awesome!

The quick version of my review is that Shuckers has very average food, pretty good service and a great location. I wouldn’t come here if the weather wasn’t nice enough to sit outside but on a warm night it’s a good spot for getting dinner by the water. I’ve been here a couple of times with groups of several people. Nobody ever had a bad experience with their food but it was never exceptional either. Sandwiches, burgers & other bar fare are done competently but with the other choices in the area this isn’t a place you’d go to just for the food. The most appealing thing about Shuckers is that they have lots of outdoor seating right by the Broadway pier. A lot of the bars & restaurants have a few outdoor tables but this particular location is unbeatable. It’s also further away from a lot of the car and pedestrian traffic that’s along the waterfront.

I made the choice to go to Shuckers as a result of their participation in Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards dining and me only wanting steamed mussels or wings to eat. I was pleasantly surprised. They have great happy hour specials and I ordered both wings and mussels, both of which were really good. The bartender was attentive but not overly so and introduced himself by name. All in all I would put this on my list of places to go in Fells when what I’m looking for is wings and a beer and a spot to sit at the bar. I think the wing special was something like 50 cents a wing. You really can’t beat that price in Fells if that’s what you’re looking for.

We got some wings, a burger and I got their turkey club. The bread of my turkey club was MOLDY. Greenish, white massive mold on the corner of my bread. I can’t believe the cook did not even SEE it. It made me think noone ordered a sandwich in 3 months, and they pulled the bread out of their nasty, dark moist kitchen closet. This manager didn’t even care when she walked over to talk to us. GO elsewhere!

I really wanted to like this place. The location is perfect, the prices are reasonable, and they have a good menu. But then I actually went to eat here. The service, while friendly, is impossibly slow. I’m not sure how, but they ran out of Boh in a bottle when I went. I know, poop happens, but Boh is the most common beer besides Miller in the town(it is, let’s not lie to ourselves). However it was still on tap, so good enough. Boh is Boh either way. I got the mini crab cakes, and they were alright. I ate one and a half and gave the rest to my man, who didn’t really like them. I don’t remember what he got, but he didn’t finish it. We both got Old Bay fries, and frankly they were terrific. However, woman can not survive on Old Bay fries alone. We then sat there forever and waited for our check. It wasn’t bad really. Him and I do have the ability to talk about anything and have a good time, but after a while we did want to go elsewhere. Also, there’s no forks and knives and napkins on the table when you sit down. You’ve been warned.

I’ve been to Shuckers several times, and it’s just ok. I need to stop going to places that are just ok, especially at the prices they charge here. The salmon is probably the best thing I’ve eaten at Shuckers. The crab cakes are not very good. Few lumps, mostly stringy pieces. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went for a late lunch and used a coupon. I realized the flaw in having to hand over the coupon before ordering — it stipulates a mandatory 18% gratuity, so the server doesn’t have to try very hard after that because they know they’ll get their 18% no matter what. The waitress brought me the check(well, actually she kept putting it in front of my boyfriend even though I was clearly the one who was paying — it drives me crazy when servers assume the man is paying) and I noticed that she didn’t deduct $ 25 for my coupon — she ADDED $ 25. I’m not sure how she didn’t catch that — lunch for two with a coupon would never be $ 80. If you’re in Fells and want to find a good place to eat, I’d point you to Duda’s or Riptide by the Bay instead.

Bartender did not ask if I wanted a drink even after seeing me(by looking directly at me!) but she had time to clear empty glasses from people who had just left. Note: The bar was not crowded so leads me to believe all 3 bartenders were either rude or just plain lazy. Either way, I went to Woody’s Bar and Grill across the st. where the service was MUCH better. Never going back to this dingy, dirty little spot. They can keep their bad service for those who want that…

Shuckers is a standard for me when I do an occasional trip to Fells Point. First, the bad stuff: It can get ridiculously crowded. When it does, the staff gets overwhelmed and can’t seem to operate smoothly. Some people get forgotten on the waiting list. Others get seated but no one tells their busy server and they end up waiting around. Although some of this is to blame on staff, some of it is beyond their control, and the rest is stuck-up customers who get pissed at any little thing. This place is also pretty pricey. Don’t come here if you’re looking for cheap eats. Seafood is expensive, and dining in Fells Point is expensive; combine the two, and yeah. The food isn’t quite worth the cost but that doesn’t mean it sucks. Now, the good stuff: The food may not be worth some of the prices, but it is still good food. I don’t know what crab-cakes some of the previous posters ate, but the stuff I got was damn good. Not the best, but still quite tasty… and that’s coming from a Marylander. I’ve had several other tasty dishes there and had few complaints. Although some customers may fall through the cracks, over-all we’ve had a decent experience in the end with our servers. Once they get their act together, they have busted their butt to help us. They’ll also work with you when something isn’t to your liking. Finally, they have a shot here called the upside-down pineapple cake. I can’t remember what’s in it, but it is the tastiest shot I have ever had. I end up having way more than I should because they’re that good. So, all-in-all I give the place an A-OK. I go back there, I enjoy the food, and I love the shots. Sure, it’s overpriced and during busy times there is chaos and flustered staff. I’ll deal with that because I like the place.

Went here with a friend for Saturday lunch. they were busy but not too busy. Walked in, the hostess just kind of stared at her table. She finally looked up at us and stared. After a bit of a staredown, my friend finally spoke up with«How long is the wait for two for outdoor seating?» She kind of shrugged and looked outside, looked back at my friend and went«30 minutes.» So he asked for a table for two inside. She asked if we wanted to sit at the bar, and he said no, a table please. She then got on the phone for a minute. We stood there chatting while we waited. At some point, she grabbed two menus, walked around, stood behind my friend… whispered — LITERALLYWHISPERED — excuse me. then quietly said excuse me. at this point I grabbed my friends arm and moved him for her. She then just walked away. My friend and I kind of looked at her and went«Are we supposed to follow her?» So we did. She led us ALLTHEWAYAROUNDTHERESTAURANT and then finally ended up at a tall round table near the bar and went«You can sit here, walk up and order from the bar.» She put the menus on the table and walked away. We looked at the table, looked at the door, and chose the door. I probably won’t come back until they hire a hostess that isn’t socially awkward. Might update my review then.

I was craving seafood – what else is new? – (specifically, cream of crab), so my cousin brought me to Shuckers. It turned out they don’t serve cream of crab, but the menu had a large enough selection of seafood dishes to keep this seafood-whore happy. At first glance, that is. For a place called Shuckers, I expected a larger raw bar menu instead of only 4 – 6 dishes. Then when we were ready to order, we learned 2 of the raw bar dishes were out. When we looked at the menu closer, we realized several of the dishes were extremely similar with one another, such as the crab cake sandwich and the crab cake sliders. In the end, I ordered the petite crab cakes and seafood cobb salad. The crab cakes were the PERFECT size and cooked just right. The cobb salad, on the other hand, was such a disappointment I had to return it. First, the lettuce was all iceberg instead of the«mixed greens» listed on the menu. Then, I bit into one of the shrimp and it was so dry and overcooked, it didn’t even taste like shrimp anymore. Fortunately, the waitress was very pleasant and didn’t give me any problems(or an attitude) about it. Other pluses about Shuckers is the view of the water and the warm dining area. There are a lot of great restaurants in this area, so I will save this as a backup.

Best Yappy hour in town! Ok, another super dog friendly location. Also on Wednesdays if you bring your dog and have a meal they will give you 20%- yes, that’s 20% off your bill– woohoo!!! Seating outside is worth the wait — even though I love this place, the inside sports bar is a bit of a dump. The extra few minutes for the table outside is worth it. While some items are just ok(the veggies tend to be waaaaaaay over cooked) other menu items consistently rock. 1. crab dip(they serve it not only with fresh artisian bread but with a cheese quesadilla– YUM) 2.Seafood cobb salad– sooooo good 3. The burgers(pick your fav) 4. Tuna steak sandwish– this is a special that is routinely on the menu– it has some aoli type sauce and friend onions and is FANTASTIC– if they hae it, get it! 5. Softshell crabs. I’m not a huge fan in general(b/c of the legs) but my other half says they are very good here.
