I’ve been going to SW for about two months now, Shy does an awesome job with extensions and I’m confident the integrity of my hair is always in tact. The studio its self has a very relaxing but still chic vibe to it, everyone there is always super friendly as well. Shy goes above and beyond to make sure that all of her clients are happy with their new look. I would definitely recommend giving them a go. :)

ok I will just start by saying how excited I was when I heard about the salon, and I looked it up and the pics were great. I was impressed that the salon was on style seat as well. I figured I would give them a try. I am very dedicated to the stylist I have been with for years, but she moved to another state. I am a very simple person, I do not wear weaves but I am not natural; however I was transitioning to natural. It was about 3 months since my last relaxer. I went to shy Watters Hair studio and first got my daughter’s hair done. She was not impressed but she is a 14 year old so she is not easy to please at this point, I was ok with her hair. It was $ 100.00 for a shampoo trim and treatment pkg. A little pricey for my daughter since she wears twist outs(she is natural) and she does not normally maintain silk press styles. A few days later I went back and got the same thing as my daughter: shampoo trim and treatment which comes with a silk press($ 100). Ok, the trim was waaaay more than a trim. My hair was past my shoulders and layed nicely on my back… but not when the stylist was done her«trim», and on top of that my hair smelled BURNT for two weeks, it was in my pillows and just smelled disgusting. The texture of my hair was waaaay different… limp and lifeless. I am big on hair care. I use natural products to treat my hair. My hair was in great shape, except my nape which was short due to the wrap scarf I wear… well I used to wear it. I had no issues with my hair at all. It was growing nicely and that was my goal. The burnt smell and the change in texture tells me my hair suffered heat damage from the flat iron/blow drying the stylist did. What is the point of a «treatment» if you’re just gonna burn my hair to lifelessness??? I am really annoyed that I paid her all that money($ 200 for my daughter and I), and there is basically nothing I can do to be compensated for the damage. I really do hope my experience was unique to this salon.
