Spa Adagio Baltimore

I really enjoyed my Spa Adagio experience. Regina was kind and soothing. I immediately felt at ease when I walked in. My massage was really relaxing and enjoyable. What an unexpected oasis!

I can’t even begin to describe what an awful experience I had at Spa Adagio! The first 15 – 20 minutes with Denise was fine. Very relaxing and Denise was a sweetheart. Then Regina took over for my back. At the time of my appointment, I was unfortunately experiencing a bit of a breakout. Not only did Regina comment on the situation, but she also turned on the lights to inspect me. It was super uncomfortable (and far from relaxing!). Regina then proceeded to say that she wouldn’t be able to continue the massage because the pimples may «burst open.» My husband is a healthcare provider and can confidently say that would have been impossible. The pimples were non-​pustule (i.e. no pus was present). I have had similar breakouts in the past and have never had an issue with massages. To make the situation more uncomfortable, Regina then proceeded to advertise the back version of their facials. Was that a strange marketing ploy???
It’s fine if Regina only wants to massage people with perfect skin. That’s her prerogative. But if that’s the case, I feel like it should be clearly specified on her website and/​or at the time of scheduling. I was expecting a relaxing afternoon and instead experienced an awkward and frustrating encounter. I will NOT be returning nor will I be recommending the establishment to others.
On another note– If you do happen to brave Spa Adagio, make sure you schedule your appointment months in advance. It was impossible to get in touch with anyone — even after leaving several voicemails. I finally spoke with Regina a week before my Groupon expired. She did not have any available appointments until a month later and would not honor the Groupon price at that time (she said there would be a $ 35 surcharge because it would have expired by then). I have had similar situations with past Groupons, and the vendors have always honored the original price– as long as the appointment was scheduled prior to the expiration date.

It’s been a long time since I’ve found a really great massage therapist and today was the day! Regina is first rate — she has a wonderful positive energy and adds some nice touches to the experience including hot rocks to warm your hands towards the end of the massage. The outside of Spa Adagio does not look like a spa but as soon as you go inside you will find a lovely oasis in the city. I highly recommend getting a massage at Spa Adagio!

I had a great time at this spa. Mind that I don’t go to spas on a normal basis but with my body getting older and back pains I really need to start. It was a short notice impulse to treat myself and to relieve some tension. I looked on Groupon for a deal and found the spa. Contacted via email and finally got squeezed in just in time including a great deal. Such quaint spot. Very warm and welcoming. Regina met me at the door and was very hospitable. She got the just of the amount of attention my muscles needed and adjusted very well. The oils were earthy and subtle so I didn’t leave smelling like a flower. Overall I felt great and she was very nice and helpful. It’s great location near fells point is a plus too. I will be returning.

Regina was gracious to accommodate my boyfriend and I for a last minute couples massage on 2÷13÷16. The massage was amazing and included aromatherapy, and Regina and her staff provided exceptional service and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. You can tell that she and the others there really love what they do and appreciate their customers! The space itself is also beautiful, warm and inviting– it feels much more cozy than chain spas. This was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had and I will certainly be back!

Amazing local business, owner operated in renovated Parish rectory in Upper Fells. Beautiful space and wonderful owners. Accommodated a last minute request for a Valentines Day massage and stayed open after closing to make it work. Highly, highly recommend!

Regina was great! She was more than accommodating when scheduling our appointment for a couples massage, and she was even better when we arrived. Our entire experience was incredibly relaxing and we left feeling refreshed. We would definitely visit Spa Adagio the next time we are in Baltimore!

Regina treated my best friend and I like royalty! We had the most AMAZING experience. We each got excellent massages and did the peel under the rain shower. Honestly the best spa experience I’ve ever had. You could tell Regina genuinely cared about our experience and she took extra special care of us. First of all it is something special to walk in this beautiful Victorian Mansion — you just step into a peaceful, luxurious space. The old European, high end style is stunning and the high ceilings make it an airy place with natural light and spacious rooms. They also showed me the Moroccan shower room — I’m thinking about a package that includes the wraps so I can enjoy that one, too… Now I felt like I a Princess already. Then I had a wonderful back massage from Brandon (unfortunately I only had time for a one hour) — he is «dancing» around you, making powerful strokes in a very fluent way and I just wanted it to never end! I will definitely come back and try the facial, too. Regina’s team offers various combination packages that sound great. I went home with a big, fat smile on my face!

My wife and I have been clients of Regina’s for several years. We began with a Couples’ Massage Class before doing single treatments and most recently a Couples’ Pregnancy Couples’ Class where she taught us not only safe massages during pregnancy but comforting massages during labour, too.
Regina has been in the business for many years. She started in Germany and then had a location in both Germany and Maryland before closing her German location and transferring everything to a brand new location in Fells Point.
Regina is quite knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend for anyone looking for a great, personal experience.
