I’ve been coming here regularly a long time and always ordering the same thing, the crab mac fries. What used to be a big container full of hot fries with plenty of delicious Mac and cheese and lump crab meat has apparently been changed to a small paper basket of cold fries and a tablespoon of macaroni with a cold smashed formerly frozen crab cake on top. If you’re going to change your signature product, you need to change your advertising. And to switch to a frozen crab cake, in Baltimore of all places is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. And the man behind the counter was one of the most rude people I have ever encountered. I have worked in the customer service industry for years and it is not uncommon to talk shit about a customer AFTER they have left or are out of earshot, he felt the need to run his mouth about how absolutely horrible I was for wanting my food made correctly or «how I wanted it» AKA as advertised while he was 3 feet away from me. Even after the manager arrived he continued to run his mouth and look like absolute trash. No amount of free food will ever make me want to return. It’s very sad as I have always loved and recommended stuggys, I never will again.

I’d read about stuggy’s on Unilocal before arriving to Fells Point. This was definitely a novel experience of the downtown Baltimore area and I’d recommend it at least once! If I were to go again, I’d definitely customize my dog more. I had the crab mac dog and it was a tad salty for my tastes, but the bake was a nice consistency and flavor. The jerk chicken on top of the Bob marley was a little more salty than flavorful, too. The Puck’s soda was delicious, and the fries were a nice homemade flavor. The woman working was friendly and helpful, and everything was made to order and hot.

No other hot dog joint in the Baltimore area comes close to Stuggy’s. The Motor City, Beast, Zappa and CrabMac are favorites but you can’t go wrong here. Grab a dog and enjoy!

I was in the area and my friends were like we must try this place out! A nice small place near the harbor! The options they had were just amazing! But the one that everyone recommended had to be the Mac & Crab and it had to be the best thing! I would rather have had just the Mac &Crab without the dog honestly! It was just on point with every flavor! My friends also go the duck fat fries which were just so flavorful, yet sooo fattening. Honestly I wish they had this in Virginia but next time I’m up in Baltimore, this will be a go to spot for sure!

I ordered the Crab Mac Dog, sweet potato fries, and drink. It was pricey for a hot-dog and fries meal, but it was very good. The mac was just made and warm, the hot-dog was delicious and the fries were aplenty. I went at a very quiet time in the day, late afternoon and the staff was friendly. No lines, no fuss. It’s a small spot, not much room to hang out in, and I can imagine it being crowded as a late-night spot. It’s not far from my office on Bond Street. They have a fairly large selection of choices. They dress their dogs in a variety of ways with a variety of dressings. I will probably come back.

I looove hot dogs and was excited to try their hot dog. I had their chi-town hot dog that consists of Tomato, Pickle Spear, Pickle Relish, Pepperoncini, Celery Salt, and Yellow Mustard. It wasn’t that good. Well, for me, this place was underwhelming and I ain’t sure if I will ever go back. Definitely not worth $ 10 for a single freakin’ hot dog! Overrated for sure

Late night food joint with an amazing selection of gourmet hot dogs. Got the Crab Mac n cheese hot dog and the sausage was perfectly cut in several pieces stuffed with the filling. Definitely a must try!

Service was nice but my order was cold and the dog tasted a touch under cooked for my liking. Hate to write a bad review but I don’t think i would revisit. Really nice folks though.

I once loved this place. The gyro dog was the best along with the crispy duck fat fries! The last time I went, the fries weren’t the extremely thin sticks anymore. They were just fries drenched in «duck fat». I asked them about the change, they denied having the thin potato sticks before… liar, I have pictures! Moreover, they didn’t inform me that they didn’t have any pitas for the gyro dog and they just served it to me on a hot dog bun. I would’ve chosen a different one if they would let they customers know if they are not serving exactly what is listed on their board. I told many people about this place, and it’s a must try. Not anymore.

I’ve heard that fell’s point hot dogs are renowned as the perfect late night snack food. But my friend and I were severely disappointed in our meal. We both ordered the Crab Mac. Unfortunately, it came out cold and topped with merely a spoonful of crab. For the quality, the hot dog should’ve been priced as $ 5 instead of $ 9. The shop is small and there are only a couple of stools for seating. Just be warned that it’ll probably be crammed if it is busy! The line is not really worth the wait.

Being a Chicago native, it is hard for a hot dog from another city to grab my attention or tastebuds. I was blown away by the offerings from Stuggy’s in the Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore. Their large menu selection can have you standing, staring and salivating for minutes on end. You can get an all beef, bacon-wrapped, turkey, veggie, polish, italian and even wild game dog! Some of the menu options, just to get your mouth watering, are titled: Bob Marley, Beast, Bruce Lee, Maui Wowie and the chosen one, for my first time; The LA Dog. This masterpiece is an all beef dog, wrapped in bacon and deep fried, stuffed with cheese, grilled red peppers, grilled onions and Stuggy’s sauce. Each bite was a California dream. Because the dog is deep fried, there is a certain crunch you get with each bite, and the flavor resinates throughout. Of course you can’t eat at Stuggy’s without an order of Duck Fat fries. These fries make you wonder why all things aren’t covered in duck fat. I would highly recommend checking out Stuggy’s when you roll through the Baltimore harbor.

They have the coolest hot dogs made of things other than beef. We got a «crab dog» and a «jerk chicken dog» — both were, unsurprisingly, delicious. Might take a while to get to the front but definitely worth the wait.

Yum! My first time in Baltimore and I stumbled upon this place in Fells Point. I had just eaten dinner but saw they had a crab macaroni & cheese hot dog… whaaaaaat! I had to try it & I was not disappointed. Great quality bun & hot dog topped with homemade mac & cheese topped with fresh crab topped with Old Bay seasoning. Perfection. I think the price was $ 9 and it was worth every penny. The staff was super friendly too. Definitely give this place a try!

Extremely surprised that this place actually is positively reviewed. I came to this place with high hopes– it’s a well-known, must-try hotdog joint in Fells point offering creative items. When I scanned over the menu, I was very shocked to find that their items(mainly hotdogs) were all almost $ 10. I’ve been to other gourmet hotdog places, but none of their items were even close to $ 10. Putting my astonishment aside, I decided to go with LA Bacon Cheese Dog, recommended by the staff. When the hotdog came out, I was very disappointed. It was literally a size of a 7 – 11 hot dog, that I can probably get for less than 3 bucks. But if you are charging $ 10 for a hotdog, it better knock my socks off– it didn’t. It was mediocre at its best. Sorely disappointed, probably not going to come back.

Hot dogs, hot damn! Stuggy’s is where it’s at. After eating a light brunch and walking around Fell’s Point in the 90 deg heat all afternoon, I needed some sustenance. Stuggy’s provided. After scanning the menu with so many delicious looking options, I went for the Cuban and a side of fries. Salty, savory goodness. The servings are mighty substantial. They offer a wide variety of ‘dogs with creative toppings. I look forward to returning to try more. The employee who took my order and prepped/served my food was also excellent. The price is very fair for what you get too.

Best place to stop by and grab some food after hitting the bars around fells. I ordered the crab mac and cheese hot dog and that was super delicious — don’t know if it’s the drunk munchies talking or just amazing but you should definitely give it a shot! I tried the sweet potato fries and curly fries. Both were decent, nothing special.

Pretty dang good. I ordered ‘the beast’ and my friend ordered the crab Mac dog. We split an order of the duck fat fries. No drinks. 24 dollars. Dogs were pretty great. Wanted another. My friend really liked the fries but I really want a fan. They were real thin and crispy like those potato sticks you get out of a can. Not my favorite kind of fry, but if you like thin fries, then these would be right up your alley. We come in on a Saturday afternoon and it was a long wait. Only one person working. Plan to eat your dog outside because there isn’t anywhere inside to sit other than a couple of bar stools at a small counter. Overall opinion? Fantastic and worth the wait.

Came here on a Thursday morning to try the crab Mac and cheese hot dog with old bay. I was very intrigued with this combination of toppings, and was ready for my mouth to explode when I took my first bite. This hot dog did not disappoint! The chunks of crab were thick and juicy. The old bay was a good addition to this hot dog as well. I think the Mac and cheese can be slightly improved, I thought it was a little plain(gooier cheese perhaps?) I would definitely come back the next time I come to Baltimore to try their fries and another hot dog.

Stuggy’s fills the void if you don’t just want a good hotdog, but a GREAT hotdog. The menu variety of hotdog combos were quite imaginative! I had a hard time picking what hotdog I wanted to try because they all looked amazing. Such an assortment ranging from bacon, chili, crab meat, fried eggs, ham and on top of that, you can still customize your own hot dog if you wanted. I tried«The Beast» and it fit the name. Mac & Cheese, Chili, Grilled Onions, Jalapenos, French Onions, Sriracha… wowwww. It was stuffed so much that I couldn’t even find the hotdog, but it was definitely in there. The chili was tasty and my favorite part of it were the grilled/french onions. MMM! This hot dog definitely has a kick to it with the jalapenos and sriracha but it was worth it. My friend and i also tried the duckfat fries. I love duckfat, but my friend wasn’t a fan and was hesitant. The guy at the counter nudged him to try it and changed his mind. Well, he really liked it and I did too. The guy working the counter was friendly and introduced us as the new owner. He even told us they are working on an idea for a kimchi hotdog which if they do I will definitely have to come back and try. I appreciated how friendly and accommodating he was and it definitely encouraged me to want to try this place again. The place is small and I could see it getting crowded once it gets closer to last call. $ 8 for a hot dog is pretty pricey but for what its worth, I would buy one. The only con I could find was that the eating area was a counter at the window. There was cheese and various things left behind from people eating. I would be more keen to eating there and not taking my dog to go if the counter was clean or wiped down at some point. According to their website, there are off-menu secret items that you can ask about too. I will have to check that out next time. Overall, if you are tired of grabbing pizza at the end of the night, this place is a must try!
