Was walking back from dinner at Koco’s and happened upon an unexpected treasure in Tanners Pickles!
What a neat idea in this revitalized neighborhood :-)
Me and the wife stopped in to check it out. The proprietor greeted us promptly and was very friendly throughout the entire visit. There were tasty samples for us to try. We liked them so much we ended up buying some.
Everything seems to be done on the premises so you know it’s fresh! And you know exactly what’s going into making these yummy treats!
We bought the Old Bay pickles and we were not disappointed.
We don’t live in the area anymore, but visit friends and family and make it a must stop and go to anytime we’re in town. And we get to support a local/small business… it’s a win win for everybody!

Only in Hamilton Lauraville! Pickle store. Took an open storefront, gave it life. Gave us… pickles? Yes pickles! Good ones. Fancy pickles. Bought a jar of great lemongrass dill. They aren’t big jars and you are paying an artisanal price at $ 6. But they are great. Excited about the pickled beans and okra coming when in season. Pickled ramps maybe?
Oh and the great owner was pickling eggs as I left.
So only 4 stars because of the price/jar size but… they are great. Thanks for community to HL!
