I have been here many times and always leave happy. They food(comfort food) is delicious and the service is always great. They have a decent beer menu as well.

I love the dizz! It’s a funky, bar/restaurant in the area. The place is always busy when I’ve been there. There is an upstairs which is more quiet, and a downstairs which is louder due to the bar being in the same room. If your going to dinner make a reservation because I’ve been there twice without one and had over an hour wait. The food is pretty good. Rare cheeseburger = very good. The service is pretty prompt and I’ve never had a bad experience.

Love it! I work in Remington and eat here all the time with my coworkers. I have always loved the burgers, until I recently tried their chili burger… Now I am INLOVE with their burgers!

Arguably the best burgers in Baltimore. Also, don’t miss the turkey platter and homemade soup selections. Service time can be a little slow at lunch but worth the wait!

I went to The Dizz and ended up getting the steak and cheese with sautéed onions in a wrap with sweet potato fries and a side salad with blue cheese. Everything was very good. The fish and chips with mashed potatoes and beef gravy instead of fries is awesome. You absolutely have to try the fish and chips because for the price($ 13.99, I believe) you get so much fish! It’s perfectly battered and fried. The service is fast and the bartenders are super nice. I highly recommend you check out this neighborhood spot. They also have a juke box, so it’s a great place to go if you just want to chill and have some good food with music. I gave The Dizz 5 stars because it does what it does well — provides you with solid burgers, sandwiches, and and American fare in general.

They have scrapple, enough said. As a Midwesterner that has frequented the East Coast often, I have come to love this utterly amazing food. Sadly, I can’t get it locally. I was in luck when I visited the Dizz for a Sunday brunch while visiting friends. I like the Dizz, the people are real, the food is solid. It’s a corner bar that has been around since 1934. Clearly, they are doing something right. I opted for the«Dizz Delight”-3 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, choice of(scrapple or sausage), home fries, toast, 2 pancakes. Because I am a glutton, I chose scrapple with a side of scrapple. Yes, my arteries and cholesterol level wasn’t happy but I was. Perfect food after a long night of imbibing. If I ever get back to B-more, you will definitely see me here again.

Somehow I have only been here once, but The Dizz definitely fulfills its duty as a neighborhood joint. The place is big so I don’t imagine having to wait that long no matter when you go. Menu is huge — rotating specials, and a lot of beer + wine to choose from. Don’t expect some amazing new sandwich you’ve never had before. Expect solid bar fare. Friendly people and informal atmosphere makes it a good place to meet up with friends for a bite, or stop there before or after going out when you realize you should probably eat something to soak up alcohol. Might as well make that«something» good and stop at The Dizz!

The Dizz is a solid neighborhood spot. The food is always good– traditional bar fare, lots of burgs and sandwiches. Their daily soup has always been really good. Beers are cheap(and they have $ 10 bottles of wine). There’s bar seating, as well as a lower level and upper level dining area. Service has always been okay, sometimes you get someone that’s a lil more friendly than others, but I’ve never felt disregarded. My boyfriend has recently moved into the area, so I’m looking forward to coming here more often!

Popped in for a bit on a Saturday night for a few drinks. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the place was(at least for me) perfectly balanced between not being too crowded and not being too empty. I can’t comment on the cocktails, but the beer selection was adequate and moderately priced. I was a fan of the atmosphere, mostly. Definitely worth visiting again, especially to try the food.

I visited The Dizz recently for a work meeting. I walked in the front door and wasn’t greeted and honestly no staff members made eye contact. I had to seek out someone to ask where the meeting was being held. Once upstairs our waitress was great– friendly and super attentive. I ordered the burger and curly fries and was overall disappointed. The burger tasted like a fast food burger(flat burger with little flavor), but I figured the curly fries would redeem the meal. Unfortunately, there were four sad little curly fries on my plate. The menu was extensive and I will be back to try something else.

The Dizz is a great friendly informal spot to grab a drink, and the food is solid for a neighborhood bar. Traditional bar appetizers like jalapeño poppers, curly fries, and wings will help accompany your draft beer(pitchers available) and do not hesitate to get the clam strips. Most of the fare is simple, but once in a while something like butternut squash soup(which I had last night) is on the menu as a special, and worth a try.

I’ll say it: the Provincial is best burger in Baltimore. This perennial Remington bar-n-grill is an awesome place to grab a bite, catch a game and a cheap pint. Also, you get to choose from THREE types of fries or Utz chips. The service can be a little spotty, but they are just keeping up with all the locals coming for a little taste of pub fare done right. Also, if you want to sit outside, sometimes you get sat on a neighbor’s front porch. Welcome home.

I went a couple weeks ago with a group of friends and the burgers were amazing. I ordered the old bay burger and it was the perfect amount of old bay. The only problem I had was the fact the service was slow and one of the girls who came in later some hoe got their food before. The slow service is expected for larger parties so I am not too upset about it

So after a beautiful afternoon in hamden and shopping, my boyfriend and i decided to stop at the Dizz for a cocktail and dinner, if the menu appealed to us. Upon walking in there was a polite couple sitting outside who advised us that this place was one of the best local places available around. So we unzipped our jackets and walked in… First glance: First the staff was very unwelcoming, given the quaintness off the restaurant, it already feels awkward to walk inside in such a small space, then to have no one greet you was very disappointing. Especially since i have never been here, i didn’t know if it was self seating, if there was a host of if the bartender was the host. So we ask the bartender for a table for two… she told us to wait by the steps and a server will realize we are there and take us to our seat. so after about 5 minutes no one even acknowledges us and the bartender could clearly see we were standing in the middle of the restaurant waiting to be sat. So finally the server gets off of the phone she was talking on and asked us if we would like to be sat, we said yes and were taken to a two top table. The seating was so cramped and ungodly close to the next table, but we thought it would be ok as long as it was just myself and my boyfriend dining, the entire dining room was empty. As we begin looking over the menu the server told us that we need to be done by 6:30 because there was reservations for this particular table in her section at that time. Mind you it was only 3:45 when we arrived. I found that tacky and distasteful to say the least. So as we are perusing the menu the server saw two more men standing waited to be sat. She then takes them to the table directly next to ours… When i say these tables are sooooooo close, i mean i could turn my head to the left and kiss the dude next to me if i wanted. So feeling awkward we asked if we could be moved to the bar and we would just eat there. so we moved, i ordered a patron margarita which for god sakes all a margarita requires is salt, triple sec tequila and sour mix… my drink tasted like straight patron, grateful for the heavy hand but disappointed at the skill of mixology. i was in the mood for a steak and asked the bartender to recommend a steak dish for me, her reply was try the sirloin… so i couldn’t find it on the menu and i asked her where it was… she did not know and just played dumb the entire time. so i asked her to find out if there is a steak offered on the menu, it took her 15 minutes to give me a response of «NO» so my boyfriend at this time were very annoyed cashed out our drinks and left the establishment. I have worked in the industry of customer service all through college and this being a private business truly just was not impressive to me, when you rely on locals to support your business i would imagine you would step up the service area and common sense of the staff… Sadly i was so annoyed with the restaurant i do not think i will ever bother to try it again, which is sad since it is so close to my home in Roland park.

The food is pretty decent. Prices are reasonable. Service is not great at all. Highlight of this place for me was the 10.00 bottles of wine. It’s so many bottles, the bad part of this was… I’m not sure if it’s true or the bartender just didn’t feel like it… but you can’t taste any of them before you buy s bottle. Never heard of this anywhere else but whatever. I’ve been a few times. The grilled chicken sandwich with old bay and bacon is what keeps this place on my list as a place to still visit. It seems to be a local hangout spot.

I’ve been here a dozen or so times since transplanting here last fall. It’s reliable and the price is right. I love the crab pretzel and various burgers and chicken sandwiches. Good beer selection too for those who abstain from the Big 3. I’ve gotten excellent service from everyone there except for this one guy who waits tables. He waited on my table once and was terrible. He ignored us to watch TV. We waited 20 min to place an order, and he was just watching TV. When we finally placed our drink order, he rushed off before we could finish, so only half our table got their order in, the other half had to wait another 10 min for him to return followed by another awkward 10 min of waiting for him to get the drinks while half the table already had theirs.(He rushed off, assuming the four of us were sharing one pitcher. Nope, two of us were, the other two wanted to order wine. If he hadn’t rushed off so rudely, he’d known that…) On another occasion, this same guy asked us if we had a reservation, which I did not even know they did because it doesn’t say anything about reservations on their website! Well, he ran us off. No, I don’t mean that we chose to leave because we didn’t want to wait. He literally told us that we couldn’t be served without a reservation. All the other staff have been wonderful.

We decided to try out the Dizz on a Monday night because that’s WINGNIGHT! FIRSTIMPRESSIONS: We walked in around 9, and the downstairs was at half capacity. The entrance is awkward because there are two doors and it’s not clear which door is the actual entrance. We walked through both doors and both times, we were pretty much ignored. After standing awkwardly by the bar and not receiving any assistance, I walked toward the back where I asked one of the waitresses at the pos station if we could have a table and if we could please sit outside. She said sure and that menus would be brought to us. After waiting outside for 10 minutes, I had to go back inside to get menus for myself. But I digress… FOOD: The wings are pretty tasty. Crispy outside. Spicy buffalo sauce around a 7 on a 10 point scale. We also got BBQ wings but the BBQ sauce was a little too sweet for my liking. The wing night deal is pretty affordable– 10 wing maximum at 75 cents each. I also got a mushroom burger but the meat was really mealy and overall pretty forgettable. SERVICE: Abysmally slow. It was almost like we were being ignored and if it wasn’t for great conversation, we probably would have been upset that a ‘quick bite’ turned into a two hour ordeal. The lack of service was so nonexistent that we could have easily just walked off without paying our bill and they probably wouldn’t have noticed until they had to pack up the outside. But of course we didn’t do that because the restaurant gods and karma would have gotten us back! OVERALL, good cheap wings on Monday. Lackluster service but I guess they’re going for that really casual ‘so chill that we don’t have any urgency’ style.

I’ve finally found a place within walking distance that has reasonably priced food and alcohol, has delicious food, and is clean, friendly, and comfortable. We had a late dinner on a Tuesday night and had some really great food. Standard American food here, and pretty much something for everyone. I had a grilled cheese with bacon, and sweet potato fries, and we started with some hot and gooey mac and cheese bites. If you’re really hungry or in a hurry, get the mac and cheese bites — they came out in about five minutes. My fiancé’s burger was cooked perfectly, and had all the right fixins. It was definitely on par with the fancy burger place we visited a few weeks ago, and a much better price. I can see this becoming one of our go-to places when we want to go out, but don’t want to go too crazy or fancy. It’s a great place to hang out and relax, especially on a cold night when they’ve got the fireplace going!

What a cool local restaurant with great food and friendly service! The burgers are close to the best I have tasted. Not only do they use good quality fresh meat, but they also have a full array of rubs and toppings to please all palates. An added bonus for me are the yummy curly fries and deserts. If burgers are not you thing, you are sure to be satisfied by any of their other sandwiches or entrée specials. They have bar area, lower and upper dining rooms along with great outdoor seating in the summer months. This is Baltimore!

I’ve been here three times and it’s never wowed me. The food is mediocre and the service is sub par. Most recently went here on a Friday and the bartender screwed up everyone’s orders including my boyfriend’s. Perhaps it was the kitchen but it seemed she was in the weeds. It’s a shame as we like supporting local businesses but there are so many options in the neighborhood now we will likely patronize them. My bf had worked two 48 hour shifts(he’s a fireman) and ordered the black and blue burger as his first meal in 7 hours. He’s ordered it before no problem but this time it had lettuce, tomato, and a pickle which he requested the kitchen leave off the plate. Also the blue cheese wasn’t appealing. Everyone gets busy and he isn’t allergic but it’s the point that if you go and can’t get what you want when it’s not even that busy then why bother? NEXT!!!
