The Falls is now closed. I have attempted to go for lunch on 3 occasions in the past couple of weeks. The first signage posted that they would be open for dinner… my understanding is that they weren’t. I spoke with a few former employees who indicated they were called at the last minute and told their services were no longer needed. It is a total shame.

I’m not entirely sold on this place. I don’t mean to hate — there’s certainly potential there — but their low points were quite low, in my humble opinion, and need to be addressed quickly. On the positive side of things: The space is pretty unique. Upon entering, a glance to the right gives you a swanky bar area with two high top tables with beer taps while straight ahead is a cozy almost coffee shop-esque space with lines of booths, tables and bookshelves. The dinner menu had appealing offerings while the drinks menu had a decent selection of seasonal, regional beers on tap. As for the food itself, I thoroughly enjoyed their fries and my bison burger was a perfectly cooked medium, as requested. Room for improvement: When there’s a sign at the door saying to «seat yourself and a server will be with you immediately», it shouldn’t take the server close to 10 mins to stop by our table with menus after they already acknowledged us walking in AND there are less than 1⁄3 of the tables occupied. Next, it’s typically not a good sign when the majority of diners are eating with their coats on.(Believe me, it wasn’t because they were packed and the front doors kept opening.) I don’t know about you, but I tend to like warm(er) water when I’m washing my hands — and still not getting it after letting the water run is not a good thing. Lastly, and maybe more importantly, serving brown avocado isn’t acceptable… ever. I’m understanding of how quickly it can oxidize, but when you’re charging $ 12 for it to be on a burger at least make it look like it was freshly cut. Please, and thank you.

3.5 stars. We came here as per my friend’s friend’s suggestion. The place is spacious, seemingly a great place for someone to study. Service was ok. We got the crab dip, the Thurman sandwich(aka chicken-pesto panini), and the pastrami Reuben, which were all pretty average that I have not much to say about those dishes. It’s a decent place for studying and meeting up with friends in the Mt. Washington area.
