Had a great time! Took the girlfriend for her birthday and she enjoyed it as well. The entertainment was engaging the cast was hilarious and the food was great. I would definitely recommend for parties and special occasions. Be sure to search Living Social or Groupon for deals.

We had high hopes for this 1920s murder mystery dinner. We got the groupon for a date night, hoping to be entertained. We were NOT. When we got there they seated us facing a wall –like right up against a wall– I asked to be move and the«owner» named bull said he had plans for the rest of the seating, even though half the restaurant was still empty. We got drinks($ 7 for wine and $ 8 for a mixed drink) We expected to see a play, it was not that at all, it was very interactive, which would be ok but we would take 15 – 20 minutes to ask others questions and I think at this point everyone lost interest. The acting was not great, the best actress was played by the woman. The food was average. The worst part was the waitress walking around at the end to collect tips on her tray, very tacky! We will not be back and do not recommend it!!!

I went with a group to the 1980’s themed Murder Mystery dinner hosted at the Colonnade in Baltimore in December 2014. We had never attended one of these diners before and we were all looking forward to a good time. We did have a fun time, and the food was good. HOWEVER, I wish I could say good things about the show. I believe they have a good concept here, but the execution was poor. The script was abysmal and the actors very bad. In fact the actors were so bad we did not know there were 4 actors that night. We thought there were only two and the other two were just members of the audience. It is set up to have a lot of audience participation which was much more fun that the acting or the script. I believe they have a good concept here, but it needs a lot of work. In fairness, this is a new venue for them, but there should have been much more rehearsal and re-writes before the put it out to the public. I, like most people, dislike writing negative reviews. However, in this case, I made the exception as the execution was just so poor. I can still recommend this, but go into it with very low expectations of the show and a good bit of alcohol.

I have been to a murder mystery dinner before by a different company and it was quite entertaining, enjoyable, etc. This experience was not similar to that one. After purchasing this on Groupon and reading the description, we were excited to watch a murder play while we dined. When we arrived at Ikaros, there was a DEADBIRD trapped in the sign upstairs, which we hoped was part of the play, or a prop… it was not. The dining area was quite crowded and half the tables did not face the center of the room, where we thought the play would be going on. The«play» consisted of very elementary level acting, and was basically one or two announcers asking the audience questions and assigning the to be various characters, then taking three 15-minute breaks to ‘investigate’. T here was not a single scene that we watched being acted out, or any interaction between the characters… or really much of a script. There was no play, really. It was bland, seemed like they threw it together, overall was not very entertaining.
I would suggest better costumes, better actors to play their parts(a female was playing the male senior class president named Peter but was not dressed as a male, etc). They relied almost entirely on audience involvement. The ‘deaths’ were poorly acted out as well. One actress choked in the middle of a sentence and dramatically fell to the floor. Nobody knew what was going on. There were also loopholes in the plot… we are not being technical and overly picky, just serious gaps where the storyline/motive became confusing. I regret to post this review because I was quite excited for this dinner after my first experience with a different company, but I would advise passing this one up… Might be a good event to bring young children to, if you are a family with kids younger than pre-teen reading this review. For this reason I will rate it two stars. *** I would also like to add that the photos posted on Unilocal of this company are NOTHING close to what we experienced in terms of costume, set, etc. There was no set and extremely minimal costumes/makeup.
