This spot was great to me. The 2 for 1 special was worth every dime their drinks was totally strong. You can bring your own food cause they don’t sell any buy the food spot next door has great chicken boxes to go with my drinks wooooo this spot has my vote

So I want to thank Ms. Ann of The Place for hosting my aunt’s 60th Surprise Birthday Party.
It’s one of Baltimore’s best kept secrets. The music is great– think Stevie Wonder, Luther, Earth, Wind, and Fire; old skool house and reggae. I love the atmosphere, not pretentious, but instinctively chic, while still managing to be as familiar as your coolest uncle’s house party. The crowd is mature and the drinks are always great. I recommend their signature drink, «The Place.»
***But be advised it’s strictly for the grown, sexy, and sophisticated. Ann and Darnell won’t tolerate foolishness and have a strict and enforced dress code.***

The Place is definitely for the mature crowd. I came here after an event with my fellow Unilocal friends. I really had a great time. The music was great and crowd was nice. I will definitely go back to check out there happy hour.

For the mature. I really did enjoy myself here. I came here after event that was near by with a couple of my Unilocal friends just to have a drink. Let’s just say I had two. The vibe was just right and the bartender was friendly. Nice small but, clean and friendly place. I would return.

Like wallpaper, I will always be here when I can. Did that make sense? Not sure, but I love it here. I have been coming here for around 7 years and I have never been disappointed. The drinks are cheap and strong… great mix right. Learn new line dances and enjoy great food and folks on several different celebrated events. Open mic and a great jazz band on Thursdays! Even the staff come here when they are off! Awesomeness in blue.

I’ve been here a few times recently. It’s pretty small with decent size bar. I found the people pretty friendly and the drinks give a generous pour. They do not serve food so be sure to have something before you get there.
If you are looking for a place where locals over 35 go for a good cocktail and a little dancing this could be for you.
