Top of the World

The views were breathtaking and unobstructed. Im so thankful to have stumbled upon the groupon, such a hidden gem. Definitely a photographers dream!

We were actually here for a private event at night, but the views were great! Unobstructed view of the harbor. Wouldn’t mind spending a few dollars to come back in the daytime.

I’m surprised l didn’t know about this place sooner. You can get deals on tickets through Groupon and living social. I only paid $ 3.50 per person thru Groupon. The prices are really great even without the discount it’s $ 6 for adults and $ 4 for children 3 – 12 under three is free and seniors at $ 5. This is a wonderful spot for family, Couples and even if you travel alone. The views are spectacular. Upon entering there is someone at the desk. You let her know for how many. You then take the elevator to the 27^th floor. They have a restroom and gift shop on that level as well. They also have the coin operated Binoculars if you want to get a closer view at any time. You have five different areas to watch the views from. I advise coming on a weekday or Sunday if you must do weekends. Sunday is less of a crowd and you don’t have to wait to use the coin operated machine which btw is a quarter. I know that’s not what it’s called but it’s pretty darn close! You can stay as long as you like and they do have seating available
if you care to rest. I also recommend seeing it during daylight and nighttime. So if you arrive close to Sunset you get a chance to see it from both views. They also have the names engraved on the glass of all the lives lost during the 911 tragedy. How sad but they will always be remembered.

For a groupon, it’s worth it. Without the groupon, idk.
Sightseeing in Baltimore and getting a «top of the world» view, when back home Sears tower is our boo is kinda difficult to swallow but nonetheless a nice way to kill some time. It does have a memorial for ⁹⁄₁₁ victims which is probably the most profound aspect of the place. There’s also tidbits of Baltimore history which is cool along with pics so you can tell the areas tire looking at our the window.
Check out the artifacts from ⁹⁄₁₁ on the ground floor. It is definitely moving.
I would suggest this (with a groupon) to anyone visiting the harbor. I wouldn’t pay full price though.

This place is amazing! It is right by the inner harbor, and I have wanted to go here since I got here. Outside the top of the world, there is an actual PIECE of the inner structure of one of the two building that were attacked and fell on September 11nth 2001. It touches my soul to see that every time. There is also a time line carved in marble of the events as they unfolder. Finally, the names of all people who perished there, that day.
Then you go inside, and take an elevator up to the 27^th floor (it costs a few dollars). The view from the 27^th floor is breathtaking. Remember those things you would put a coin in and look through? Kind of like binoculars but bigger and fixed on a stand. They have those all around the 360 degree view of the city. The thing my wife and I loved was the educational journey through old pictures and information about the city’s past. Very cool. The thing I loved the most is the names of those who perished in 9 – 11 are ETCHED in the glass you look through. Not distracting, nor obstructive… but very respectfully done.
If you are a resident, very cool place. If you are visiting the city WELL worth the few dollars to see.

A one stop tour of Baltimore city. All this in the comfort of a/​c and a tranquil environment. Born and raised in NYC, I was excited to have an opportunity to have an eagle view of the Charm City.
The elevator is quite fast, and a little scary coming back down. Chew gum, swallow hard, or yawn so your ears can pop. The view was stunning. Each window had a display of historical or trivial facts. Many of the facts were about things you could observe from where you stood. There are also coin telescopes (aka tower scopes).
Much thought was put into this place. I got in for free today which was also a HUGE plus. There’s ⁹⁄₁₁ displays and a small art gallery. It also seems like they offer activities from time to time. Today’s activity was «Book art». Book origami, book trees, just creative craziness. I will certainly bring the kids next time I come.

Nice views from up here, if it wasn’t for the sign outside id never know this existed, for the price, its a good value for a nice view of the Baltimore skyline.

My favorite place to visit when I’m in Baltimore. Fantastic 360 degree view of the city, Inner Harbor, and beyond. Placards at the top show you what’s on the horizon. You can see for miles and it’s pretty cheap. Conveniently located right in the Inner Harbor.

Beautiful views of the city. Nice little tidbits of info about people from Maryland that people may find interesting. You can walk through the whole place in 10 min flat but the price is only $ 6 so it’s recession proof lol. Also they typically have promo deals online on third party sites for up to 50% off. Definitely worth checking out.

We had a convention event here last night, and were very impressed.
The space on the 27^th floor is ringed by full height glass, so you get a spectacular 360° panoramic view of the city. The room was huge, and easily accommodated our crowd of 350.
There are many ⁹⁄₁₁ exhibits and displays– artifacts from Shanksville, the Pentagon, names of all the victims etched on glass, recognition of the 68 Maryland residents who perished on September 11, 2001, and steel beams from the Twin Towers.

I had a few hours to spend in Baltimore and wanted to get the most bang for by buck so I went to the inner harbor not knowing what to expect. I noticed that at the World Trade Center you could go to the Top of the World to get a birds eye view of the city. The price is extremely reasonable and it was not very busy at all. This isn’t the tallest building in the city but from it’s location you can see everything you could imagine seeing. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly and I even bought some souvenirs while I was up there. I can’t imagine you would spend a lot of time up there, maybe 30 – 45 minutes… but worth the trip for sure.

We paid $ 2.50 per person through groupon. Thanks to one of the tips below. No wait on a Sunday afternoon during July 4^th weekend. We spent about 30 – 45 mins here. There are a few benches for you to rest. It wasn’t crowded at all. We sat up there to enjoy the view and ac.

My fiancé and I just visited using a Groupon. So glad I saw it on there because I didn’t even know that they had an observation level (and I am native to the area)! All of the staff were extremely helpful and kind.
This place has, as expected, amazing views. It’s a great place to take someone who isn’t from Maryland because you can point out cool highlights (Aquarium, Pier Six, Shot Tower, Domino Sugar, etc.) and read about Baltimore’s history.
I wish the art exhibition had some more signage, but overall the experience was pretty cool. I especially enjoyed the tribute to Marylanders who were lost in the ⁹⁄₁₁ attacks.

Purchased a GroupOn so it was buy one, get one free. Provides beautiful views of Baltimore including the Harbor, Federal Park and Little Italy and so much more. Bring quarters for the telescopes. It was fun trying to find the Domino sugar plant through the telescope. It also serves as a memorial to the Maryland residents whom lost their lives during ⁹⁄₁₁. We read the short bios of each victim from the youngest to the oldest. Whether I was visiting or a resident, I would plan to visit this landmark. Kids and adults would enjoy this stop.

This is such a great way to get an overview of the city and orient yourself if you’re new to town. I’m in Baltimore for a conference and this is just a few blocks from the convention center. Unfortunately I won’t have time to check out all the sights that I could see from the 27^th floor enclosed observation deck, but it’ll give me a reason to come back! Plus the super fast elevator is kinda fun.
There are helpful signs with history, info about the city, and attractions indicated on photos of the skyline. There’s also a tribute to the victims of 911 that was unexpected but very moving. Overall, highly recommended. Take a half hour or so and start your visit to Baltimore here!

Why did I wait so long to come here?! Top of the World was such an awesome experience!
You take the elevator to the 27^th floor and you have a gorgeous view of the city. I came during the winter so it was really cool to see the Inner Harbor frozen and the city covered in snow. If you have friends or family from out of town, you need to bring them here! We had fun trying to figure out where my house and other landmarks were located.
And I didn’t realize it was a ⁹⁄₁₁ memorial. It had photos of all the Marylanders who perished in the terrorist attacks as well as the names on the glass of all those who perished. It was very moving.
Tip: Check Groupon/​LivingSocial as they are frequently on there. And don’t forget the camera!

Top of the World was such a cool experience! I came in November around 10:30am with a group of co-​workers. We were the only people there and had the place to ourselves! Amazing views of Baltimore and, with a great tour guide, you almost feel like a local!
All the staff were super friendly — from the cashier on the ground floor to the folks that worked up top. I highly recommend Top of the World, even if you’re just passing through Baltimore on a quick trip.

It is a memorial for the Maryland victims of the ⁹⁄₁₁ Terrorist Attacks. The memorial to these people is beautiful and I love that we have a place to remember them in Baltimore.
I come to the Top of the World for the view a couple times a year, mainly when I have guests visiting from out of town. You can see all of the neighborhoods from the top and it helped me get a handle on the layout of Baltimore when I first moved here.
It’s also really cool to visit at least once during each season so you can see the harbor water frozen and the bright red trees around Federal Hill!

The Top of the World viewing deck at the World Trade building is maybe a touch pricier than it should be (it’s not much but you are just going up and looking around…) but it does offer some pretty good views of all of Baltimore. The building sits away from the other buildings in downtown in a way that it offers unobstructed views in all directions. It’s always cool to be above everything with great views. So for that, thumbs up. There are some telescope things to boost your view if you’d like. There are also pictures and labels of buildings and prominent things which is nice but they could use a little updating. They haven’t kept up with construction, etc. There is some random info spread around which I didn’t find to be interesting enough to spend my time on.
There is a gift shop at the top that is has pretty standard issue souvenirs. Nothing that looked worth buying and maybe a little more expensive than you might find elsewhere.
Now, don’t kill me for this, this is just my personal preference here, but I’m not really a fan of the ⁹⁄₁₁ World Trade Center debris that is on display at the Top of the World and again outside the building. I am all for remembering and honoring what happened, and in this building, some level of that makes perfect sense. But do I really want to see twisted metal from a building with the same name as the one I’m in currently that thousands of people died in? No, I really don’t. The names on the glass of all the victims, highlighting the Maryland residents who died? That seems like a well done, appropriate, not totally in your face tribute. I think that would be enough. I’m just saying, it’s not what I really want to be thinking about when at the top of a tall building just trying to take some cool pictures.

For $ 5, it’s pretty hard to argue with taking a trip here. Though it’s not the highest or most exciting city skyscraper view I’ve ever been to, the staff are friendly and helpful (they even filled us in on festivals happening and other things we should see). It’s definitely a great first stop for tourists because it helps you get you bearings and offers tips on other attractions.
Additionally, the ⁹⁄₁₁ memorial was done very well and was very touching. I would recommend spending a few moments in that section of the floor for sure.
