As it is true that there are people asking for money outside, there is still a very clean, well stocked and well managed staff. They are helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and the pharmacy kicks ass. They are quick and customer service oriented. I wouldn’t spend the day there but poverty can be misleading. In a pinch, don’t feel threatened but be aware. Toodles… lol.

Bring a gun. Or a bodyguard.
We went to pick up a prescription and had to check our bags with an armed security guard. When I asked if this was a rough neighborhood, the security guard guard said, «uuuuhmm– yeah», like, you’ve got to be kidding me, right? Take a look around you lady.
There’s nothing technically wrong with the store, I’m just not accustomed to having to deal with so many safety issues.
