Elegant Nails

Had a great morning here with my mother and sister. A mani and a pedi for $ 35!!! The technicians were friendly and fast. The chairs are great and my mother got some lovely nail art for her birthday. I would have taken pics to show but they are moving to a downstairs location in a few weeks.

I’m super disappointed with my experience here today. I always get my nails done here when I’m in Maine visiting my mom because my friends had recommended it and I’ve gotten good service. Today was a nightmare. I went in to get a full set done. I didn’t have an appointment and I only waited 15 minutes which was fine. I showed the technician exactly how I wanted my nails done (stiletto/​pointy style) before he even started. He commented on how ugly he thought it was but said he could do it. Everything was fine until he got to shaping my nails. He tried the first one and I told him that wasn’t the way I like it. He did it some more and I told him politely that it was still wrong. He told me he would not do it the way I wanted and that he’d rather take off the whole set he’d just put on than do it. I told him to just finish what he was doing and I’d fix it when I got home. I was extremely upset and just wanted to get out of there at this point. The rest of the time he was doing my nails he was extremely rough and rude. When I got up to wash the cuticle oil off my hands he left the room and made someone else paint my nails. I had told her I wanted a french manicure but she rushing so bad I told her not to bother and just paint them all one color. I couldn’t believe how poorly I was treated here. I am not a picky customer and this was the first time I’ve ever had to go home and fix a brand new set of nails myself. This was an embarrassing and horrible experience. I will not be back.

I didn’t even stay to receive the pedicure! I had called the day before to schedule an appointment. When I called them what time I wanted I was told there was no need to make an appointment because it won’t be busy at that time. Well, when my mother and I arrived there was a thirty minute wait. When I explained what had happened the woman basically told us that we were lying about the phone call and that we should’ve called to make an appointment. Really?! I tried but I wasn’t given the option. The woman at the counter rolled her eye multiple times at my mother and I. At that point I realized the business manners were just not there. I left my polish on the counter and left. I have never been treated so poorly at a place of business. I would not recommend Elegant Nails to anyone if this is the way they are going to treat their customers.

Great pedicure, awesome chairs and great prices. Kept us under the dryer a little too long, but no worries. Will be back!

These guys were great! They had a great selection of colors, as well as UV shilac polishes as well (which is what i was looking for at the time). Went for a mani-​pedi and had a lovely time. Chairs were comfy and clean. Prices reasonable. People were very welcoming and friendly. Is for sure my new «Go-​To» spot in Bangor!

I finally found a regular nail place in Bangor!
I went the other day for a pedicure, and was delighted. COMFY chairs, great prices, and friendly service!
