Mattress Firm Bangor

Hubby and I sat in the car outside Mattress Firm, watching and waiting for an older gentleman to slowly park, exit his car and walk up to the building before turning around and heading over to AT&T! We were so hoping this man would enter Mattress Firm before us, as we could see the lonely salesman sat at the showroom desk in an empty store.
I admit my anxiety was up as I knew I would have to maneuver a salesman’s tactics. I assertively told the salesman what we were looking for. THEN we were hit with smiles, pleasantries, small talk and about 15 minutes of questioning including «whats your absolute max you would spend?» I must’ve repeated 100 times I wanted a firm-​as-​a-​board mattress for my achey nurse’s back! I gave him a price range. He rubbed his chin and said it didn’t give him much room to work with. I’m sorry, a single solitary mattress for 1000 should be doable.
He led us to an example and asked me to try it. Said it was the best of both, firm and soft, a «compromise» for me and my husband. I’m thinking «you mean, something neither me or my husband like — what kind of compromise is that?» I obliged him and began to sit until I realized the quicksand filled mattress was a far cry from my firm mattress request.
I reminded him for the 101^th time that I was hunting for a firm mattress. His eyes widen, feigning some epiphany — «Oh you want firm??? I know what you want! — Follow me!» And he led us to a mattress TWICE the price of our budget! I thanked him, pointed out that he routed us to something twice our budget and told him we would continue our search.

After my boyfriend and I moved here from Ohio, we needed to buy a mattress! We went into mattress firm and Darren Hartley helped us out! He not only worked with us and our price range but, made sure we were both happy in what mattress we were picking out! I suggest everyone and anyone who needs a bed, head over to mattress firm and talk to Darren! He will make sure to hook ya up!!!
