Biggest corn tortilla I’ve seen. Good service and faster than taco bell. I’ll definitely come back.

I LOVE this place. Whenever I go shopping at Cabazon outlets this spot gets my business for sure. Delicious burritos that are giant in portion and beautifully put together are here. They have one of the most amazing hot sauces that I’ve ever tasted. I wish I could come here more often but each time I’ve ever gone I’m never disappointed. Grateful for great food like this!!!

My mom raved about this place so much so the family I decided to make the stop on the way out to the outlets. I got the fish tacos and a steak burrito. They were both very good. The burrito was my favorite. Meat well seasoned and the fresh made tortillas definitely we’ll have me making the trip in the near future. Heading out east on the 10 this is a must.

We always stop here on the way too or from Palm Desert. The food is really amazing and tastes authentic to me! I love the carne asada nachos. I recommend asking them to hold the onions which we forgot to do the last time we visited. My car still smells like onions 5 days later, oops. My husband likes the giant burritos. It’s a roadside stand so be prepared to eat in your car or outside on some benches. We always seem to come when it is either crazy hot or freezing cold so we always eat in the car. There is also no bathrooms so don’t plan on it being your potty stop

Shout out to my sister-in-law for turning me on to this place. We go to the desert twice a month year round and NEVER saw or heard of this place until one month ago. Now we’ve been 6 times in 4 weeks! Everything we tried has been delicious and freshly prepared. The only thing on the menu they don’t make themselves(comes from a bag at Costco) are the taquitos. So don’t waste your money on those. The tortillas would be good enough for me, but filled with their chicken or steak esta mas bueno! The salsas, medium with jalapeño or hot with ghost chili, are not to be missed. I bought several 16oz tubs of the medium and we’ve already been through half of it. This place is literally at the front gate of the Morongo Indian Reservation. The staff are all from the Rez. Very friendly if you’re not acting like a foolish city slicker. Just sayin’ if you’re a dick, keep moving ‘cuz you’re not going to like the service. If you’re polite and respectful, you’re going to love this place. One warning, though. It’s a tiny taco stand in front of a fwy on ramp, very windy area and no restrooms. So go prepared to enjoy a breeze or eat in your car. Or you can order everything«cold» and they’ll pack it to travel home.

Authentically-amazing tacos and burritos! The food is unpretentious and straight forward, the flavor is there, the price is right, and again awesome tacos and burritos.

I spend a lot of time driving the I-10 back and forth between Phoenix and Southern California and I can’t keep track of the times I’ve stopped for gas, or a break, or to check out the Cabazon outlet shops. And every time I get off the freeway, I see the little Crazy Coyote roadside taco shack, but I’ve never stopped. On my last trip this past week, I figured — This place has been in business for a long time. They must be doing something right. Right? So I decided to try it out. I was pretty hungry, so based on the Unilocal reviews, I opted for the Chile Verde plate. Served in a styrofoam clamshell, the plate includes a heaping portion of piping hot chile verde, rice, beans, and two homemade corn tortillas(flour tortillas are an option as well.) The good: The tortillas are amazing — thick, hearty and full of flavor, they were perfect for wrapping up the chunks of chile verde. The not-so-good: maybe my expectations were too high, but honestly, I wasn’t all that impressed with the chile verde itself. Yes, it was warm and flavorful, but it seemed like the meat itself was a little dry on the inside — like it was cooked way too long.(I know that chiled verde stews for a few hours, but this tasted like it had stewed for a lot longer). At the end of the day, it was still a pretty satisfying meal. And it was affordable($ 8 for the plate, and that included a drink). The rice and beans were good. The tortillas were great. I may give them another shot next time I’m in the area — At least I’ll have a better idea as to what to expect. Oh — They do take credit cards, but if you use plastic, expect to pay an extra buck for the«non-cash transaction fee.» Enjoy!

Came here more for the novelty. This is the taco shack you drive by on your way to the Desert Premium Outlets. It may look like e-coli, salmonella, cockroach and rat infested on the outside, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We drove by and was so intrigued by the beauty of this place. I was hoping to see Tuco Salamanca show up with his homeboys to meet Heisenberg. Ordered the fish taco, steak taco and ghost sauce. The GHOST sauce was RIPPIN’ HOT! Even my Korean friend agreed and she makes her own kimchee. I agree with the other reviewers that the tortillas are too dense and thick. There are definitely better taco joints around, but this place is truly authentic, right down to the grumpy Mexican grandma in the back cooking and the scowl-faced daughter taking your order — and they were both wearing hair nets, so booyah to those who think this place is dirty.

The wife was shopping at the outlets so I decided to try a taco at the crazy coyote. Well the taco was very good nice fresh and cooked perfectly. Not a lot of toppings but just enough. I think the star of the show was the fact that I purchased the ghost pepper salsa and let me tell you it was hot as h-e-double hockey stick but I enjoyed it as my endorphins were released while my nose ran and the sweat began to gather on my forehead. $ 1 for a container of this ghost salsa I thought it was a great deal. I will go back again because for me it’s much better than looking for deals on ripped shrunk torn and Miss made clothing at the outlets.

Been coming here for years. 5 stars for quality and taste. Awesome giant tacos. One will do ya. It’s a freeway taco stand, cash only, but worth it. Be careful of the ghost chili salsa, it will leave a mark!

The Giant Steak Taco. That’s all you need to know about this place. Don’t even look at the menu, just say Giant Steak Taco and then revel in all its glory. The customer service is terrible, it’s in a horribly unscenic location(jammed between the front gate of an Indian Reservation and a freeway on-ramp), they nickel and dime you for everything(debit transactions, extra salsa, all beverages) and it’s always windy and dusty… You’ll be burping up onions & cilantro for days and it takes a few washes to get the steak juices off your hands. And I can’t wait to go back.

I’ve been here a couple times and asked for guacamole. I didnt think they added but when i called to complain the owner memtioned its mixed with sour cream then melts in the burrito??? So dont ask for guacamole, its pointless. Also the staff was extremely rude to friends that didnt know what was inside the burritos. Given them one star is a previelege. If you want Mexican food go to Casino Morongo Tacos & Taquila!

Ehhh… its okay. Not a fan of their tortillas they are fresh but super thick, too thick for my taste or my boyfriends. We both were on the same page. We stopped here on our way back from the river after a friend of ours recommended it. The girl behind the counter wasn’t exactly nice, but she wasn’t mean., just zero personality. We thought it would work out good since we brought our smallest dog with us on this trip and this way we could sit outside with her and eat… we got repremanded for having her on the asphalt, lame. On to the food(or should I say meats since I already griped about the tortilla). The chicken, carne asada and chile verde were all good. The salsas were tasty and full of flavor. My chicken seemed oily to me but according to my bf, when he went up to get us napkins he said that the meats are all in crock pots. Not sure if thats good or bad but even though the chicken was oily, it was still tasty. Im just kind of a health nut and would have preferred a less greasy version. All in all, I will look for something else for us to eat in the area next time we come through. However, if bf or a friend wants to stop, I ave no problem :) PS $ 1.00 to use a debit card and there is no bathrooms.

The service was fast and outstanding! There were 3 – 4 people working in there and despite the sweltering heat everyone was so polite. I had a regular steak taco and was pleasantly surprised to find the homemade tortillas. The super nachos w/chicken were mediocre… Kind of reminded me of nachos from a sports center snack bar. They would’ve been amazing had the same tortillas been used for the chips, however, I’m sure frying chips may not be feasible given the outdoor heat and the size of the kitchen. I also ordered a side of ghost salsa. $ 1 for a 2oz cup and well worth it! The steak & chicken were flavored well. I will stop there again.

Leaving Palm Springs of course we stopped at the outlets. On our way out, you can’t help but notice this place before hoping on the frwy. Oh boy were we pleasantly surprised! I got the big taco-steak, cilantro, cheese, guacamole, and mild salsa. The steak was tender and juicy. My date had the regular chicken taco-mild salsa, and cilantro. Perfectly cooked chicken breast NOT dry and great salsa. This hit the spot and definitely worth stopping by whenever we are in the area. We ended our weekend in Palm Springs on a great taco note!

This humble taco stand is in front of the Morongo Indian Reservation. I had the steak burrito for $ 6.50. It was a good size for the price and comes with cheese, onion, cilantro, rice, and your choice of sour cream OR guacamole, and your choice of hot red habanero OR mild green jalapeño salsa. Could not see or taste any cheese and guac. The guac is pretty much sour cream + avocado so I would not recommend paying extra for it. The burrito kept me full for the rest of the day. I’d come back to try tacos next if I’m in the area and craving Mexican. Fast food dining options around Morongo are meager, and the drive-thru line for In n Out down the street is ridiculous. Bottom line: There is better Mexican food around but Crazy Coyote hits the spot for the price.

Crazy Coyote Tacos is located at the Malki Exit in Cabazon, standing alone next to all of those cars trying to get back on the freeway after a busy day of shopping at the Outlets. For $ 3.25 you can order a simple taco with your choice of salsa, or for $ 6.50 a burrito. They also have horichata! We order carne asada with spicy salsa, and for once the salsa is truly hot! So beware for those without a spice tolerance! These tacos and burritos are the best in the entire Coachella Valley. As a long-time resident of Palm Springs, I can honestly say this is the most authentic Mexican food and the area’s best-kept secret. I make sure I always take an extra few minutes to swing off the freeway before heading back to Los Angeles after visiting home. EXPERTTIP: order, grab your food and eat in your car! Cabazon is also called«Windy Point,» as winds are constant and heavy, and often cold, even in the summer. Even though outside park benches & tables are available, the wind and temperatures make the process of eating your take-out nearly impossible(think napkins, plastic take-out boxes flying around, knocking over your salsa &/or drink).

If I could give negative stars I would. I’ve never experienced such a rude and abusive owner/manager(?) in my life! She seemed pleasant at first but when she knew I was with my friend who has a small dog, which was in a dog bag, she became very unfriendly. She demanded that the dog go nowhere near the tables and chairs. This place is outdoors and the dog was in the bag! Also, when she repeated my order to the employees in the back she seemed annoyed and almost to the point of being so angry. To add to her annoyance, I handed her my credit card to pay and she quickly added $ 1 to my total. I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to charge customers for using a credit card. On to the food, I got fish tacos and it was so disappointing. It literally was just battered fish and cilantro. Where’s the pico de gallo? Where’s the salsa? The only thing I asked her not to put was sour cream. This place is only around because it’s right off a prime exit where commuters frequently exit to gas up and use the restroom. Most of her customers are probably not from SoCal or CA in general, so they have no idea what good tacos taste like.
