Allstate Insurance: David Schmeissing

I actually opened a Unilocal profile to write this review. I’ve been with Allstate since I began driving as a teenager, and now, in my early 30’s, I can say that I’ve made a terrible mistake choosing this company. Over 4 weeks ago, I was rear-​ended while sitting at a traffic light, so hard that I slammed my head against the headrest. I emailed David when I got home, and explained what happened. We played phone tag for the next 2 weeks, until I realized that he was only calling my work number after hours, or my cell during the workday. In one message he warned me that insurance companies often operate like a carrousel, and I definitely feel like I’m going in circles with Allstate. I finally called the 800 number and opened a case, and was immediately told that my insurance doesn’t cover being rear-ended…what?! No surprise here, my car is still messed up, and David stopped calling weeks ago.
