Food good but not great. Clam chowder bland, chicken dry, lobster mac bland. Place was cool. Not too many beer choices.

I would not return. The service was terrible. It took us forever to get menus. The waitress barely returned to check on us. She didn’t know what the descriptions of the different meals. The food was tasteless. Save your money, save your time. Find someplace else.

This review is for the One Off Pub. It was not listed on Unilocal. This place is a hidden local gem. Our Bartender Lucas was a wonderful bartender. So fun and energetic. We had a great time! Unfortunately, I witnessed some tourists being less than kind(more like douchy… SORRY. I am from MA). Lucas was an absolute professional. I think I was more upset than he was. Tourists, respect local employees and staff who are working hard to show you a good time. You don’t live here! If Lucas is working, I would gladly revisit this bar. He made you feel welcomed and took care of every guest single handedly. I give my highest recommendation soley based on the staff. Great place, great service!

Really we have been all around Bar Harbor drinking good beer and they pour 10oz beers and charge $ 7.50 each ! Food looked good but was afraid to eat after the great beer robbery!

Stopped there on our Acadia trip as well. Barmaid worked bar and tables. She tended to intoxicated patrons at the bar, pouring readily. We waited for menu, order and check and waited. Nachos lacked much, except chips. Chowder cold, but she never asked. Hostess failed to ask about our meal;it’s no wonder. Check out Cherrystone’s or Jalepenos next door instead.

NOFREEREFILLS! Pricey but the food is good. They have gluten free buns for the burgers which is a plus. The Mac n Cheese is a must try. Service wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful. Has a good assortment of beers. Only go here if you’re in a pinch and everywhere else is full.

Can’t speak to the food as they would not seat us in their nearly empty patio. Hostess was extremely rude and unhelpful. We had 4 adults and 3 kids – perhaps their restaurant does not welcome children. I travel all over the USA for work and pleasure and have to say this was one of the worst. Glad they saved us from what was sure to be a terrible experience at a clear tourist trap. Had a lovely meal down the street.

Cant speak for the food but BHB had the most beers on draft I encountered while visiting Bar Harbor and the bartender was friendly

The Lobster mac and cheese was dry and cold, and the pesto pasta seemed in desperate need to something to flavor it. We came because they allowed dogs on the patio, but I’m pretty sure we all would have been happier some place else.

The beer was good. Food was not. Tourist trap. The clam chowder had a strange taste to it and the lobster roll was disappointing

I’ll give it another chance if I can eat outside, but service inside sucked the evening I was there. After waiting an incredibly long time, a waiter came over to ask if anyone came to us. It wasn’t his table, but he took our order because nobody else came by. Lobster rolls did come out quickly and were good. My boyfriend loved the blueberry pie. But the coffee was horrible, and the waiter became busy with his own tables, so it took forever to get the bill. Also, the floor was filthy. Old french fries scattered and squished. Maybe service outside is better

Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. Just pretty mediocre all around. Waiter was nice. Food was average. They were out of blueberry beer :(

Let me start this off by saying the service is HORRIBLE it took us seven minutes to get seated and then we waited another fifteen minutes for our waitress to come over and take our drink order. Then after she dropped off our drinks it was another ten minutes before she came to take our order. Plus, the items on the menu are minimal and are all close to the same thing with different dressings or sauces. I got a cheeseburger which was just a Bubba burger you would get from the food store. Then we waited forty minutes for our food to come out. After we were finished it took another fifteen minutes for her to drop off the check and a little over ten for her to come pick it back up. Also it is freezing in there so make sure to bring a jacket. The bar aspect of it is fine but, just don’t expect anything good food wise.

We were hesitant to eat here based on the other reviews, but are so glad we did! The food was excellent, and«reasonably» priced for the area. The four menu items we tried were the Lobster Roll Dinner(only $ 1 more than the single lobster roll, and includes the delicious clam chowder and fries), the Mac&Cheese Bacon Burger, another burger on a Gluten Free bun(the GF options here are wide and well labelled, huge plus), and a salad. The service was wonderful, and the food came quickly. There was a live band playing while we were there, definitely made the place quite lively. Would definitely recommend in the future.

We came here for lunch during our stay in Acadia National Park. We ordered the chicken nachos, a bowl of clam chowder, and a Black Bear stout. The nachos was very big, but not good. Tortilla chips were piled high on the plate, but there was very little chicken, cheese, or anything else. The cheese was dry, which made it difficult to place on the chips. I was looking forward to the clam chowder, since we were in Maine, after all. Unfortunately, it was the biggest letdown ever. First off, for $ 8, you would think that they would give you more, but in this case, it’s a good thing they didn’t because it wasn’t good… at all. There was a decent amount of clam, so that’s a plus. But the chowder was unusually sweet. I think they might have accidentally added sugar instead of salt. Honestly, I’ve tasted better clam chowder from a can. The place wasn’t very busy when we were there, so you would think that our waitress would stop by to check up on us. I guess that was too much to ask for because after bringing our food, she did not present herself again until she brought our check. I would definitely not come here again.

Literally the worst meal I’ve ever had — lobster pizza and chowder, I couldn’t even eat it and my stomach hurts thinking about it. My friends were in the same boat — the chicken Cesar salad was a stalk of soggy lettuce. The service could also not have been worse.

Had lunch on the roof deck here. We enjoyed the atmosphere outdoors and the music coming from downstairs. The lobster mac and cheese was a good lunch sized portion.

Went there for a drink on the rooftop and had a great time! It was a beautiful view and our bartender was so sweet. She told us about places to go around the area and talked with us most of the time we were there as well as with the other patrons at the bar. At one point, I had an uncommon drink request and I showed her the recipe and she made it for me, no problem! She even added a little bit of fresh Maine blueberries to enhance the taste. All in all — great experience!

We only stopped in here for a beer given the iffy reviews on the food. Overall they had a pretty large beer list but it was somewhat annoying that the main bar didn’t have all the beer on the menu. Several were reserved for the upstairs bar… which wasn’t open… Pretty odd. Decent beer prices though. The décor of the restaurant was simple and somewhat dated looking. They had the upstairs area which I’m told turns into sort of a «nightclub» later at night. Sounds like something I would avoid, but some people might like it. The bartender was friendly enough.

Wifey and I stopped in around 11:30 after a morning hike around Jordan Pond. We brought our labradoodle pup in and they quickly brought her water! We ordered lemon drop & Blueberry Martinis, which were fantastic(I’m particular on my lemon drops). I ordered the Plain Jane burger and my wife ordered the pulled pork tacos. The Plain Jane was anything but! My only gripe… it was too juicy — I ran out of napkins! The sweet potato fries were to die for, crispy slightly overdone! Just the way I like! I didn’t try the tacos, but my wife asked for the recipe before we left, so I assume she liked them… Amanda(our server) did a great job. She promptly brought our food and check, drinks did take a few minutes — I’m assuming they get busy Friday in the bar. Hopefully, these guys keep up the great work and stay around — look forward to my next visit!
