Adorable vintage candy and yarn shop– Bee(presumably?) was knitting behind the counter and had just finished spending some time in her garden, which I’ll venture to say is the prettiest in town. From shoelace candy to Ice Cubes, this is a vintage treat.

This store is my favorite place in all of Maine. Maybe even my favorite place in the whole world. It’s a shop full of, you guessed it, yarn, sweaters and candy. I’m here, of course, to talk about the candy. It’s penny candy! No really, the lady that works there(Bee?) goes behind the candy counter, because this is real old-fashioned where the candy is kept in glass jars, and asks you what you’d like. You pick out say 1 of each color of the UFOs and 25 of the little fruit candies, maybe a mini Toblerone and a handful of atomic fireballs. None of them cost more than a dime a piece, most of them cost just a penny still. She counts them all up and you leave with a brown sack full of different candies that cost you $ 2.53. Sweet Jesus, I want Bee to move to Denver. And they have the chocolate counter of course. It’s full of all kinds of pieces of chocolate with delicious fillings and pure awesomeness. The rest of the store is full of all kinds of yarns and the lady that works there is using some of it to knit the sweaters that are also for sale in Bee’s. Radical.
