If you are up early, you can get Grumpy’s fresh bakery warm from the oven. And you have the added advantage of being on the dock before the cruise ships unload with all the madness that entails. We had fresh blueberry muffins and scones and loved them enough to go back the next morning before leaving town. Honestly, the blueberry scone was the best I have had. Fresh, warm, tender inside with a crisp but not hard crust. Yum!

Avoid the«lobster rolls.» The $ 15 for two«rolls» is, of course, too good to be true. You get two small buns with iceberg lettuce, some plain lobster, and two packets of mayo. Lobster salad for lobster rolls is so much more than lobster and mayo. The baked goods smelled really good, but I didn’t try those, so i can’t really rate them.

Great iced coffee with lots of flavor syrup options. We sat outside on the water. Ate delicious carrot cake. And Grumpy is actually a friendly guy!

We were getting ready to re-board the ship when we were paralyzed by all of these intoxicating aromas of freshly baked goods. Stopped in for coffee and brownies that were still warm! All of the baked goods looked wonderful, and the man who helped us(grumpy himself, perhaps?) was warm and friendly. I think he was a world traveler because there were pictures of him with elephants. The brownies were delicious and the coffee was fresh. I wish I would have bought that carrot cake I saw.
