Jan is super sweet, does a fantastic job, and gets the work done fast. Will return and recommend!

These days, there are very few places that do alterations and sewing, so if you need such work done, you should definitely give this place a try.
One of my favorite shirts had lost a small (1″) section of stitching around the collar, and I was considering pitching it. However, I thought I’d check on how much it would take to fix it, and found Jan’s here on Unilocal.When she gave me a ridiculously low price for the repair ($ 2.50), I decided it would be worth it to give it a try. If it didn’t work out, I would be out very little.
Needless to say, I needn’t have worried. She didn’t just replace the small portion that had come out, she replaced the entire seam, matching the thread color perfectly! It looks like it just came from the factory (well, except for my wear and tear on the rest of the garment!)!
If I ever need any other sewing or alterations done, I will definitely give first shot to Jan’s shop. Her store is in downtown Barberton, which may be part of the reason she can keep her prices so low. But don’t let the location deter you one bit! She provides both great workmanship and a pleasant demeanor. You can’t ask for more than that.

I needed some pants hemmed. Went to one of those franchise alteration stores and they did all of them in some clear plastic thread. They came undone immediately.
So, I took them to Jan’s and they were done to perfection. She has such a cool little sewing studio and does everything.
She’s a real sweetie, too
