We took a large (48″ x 72″) oil painting to be stretched and framed. We were quoted a price of $ 13,000 (Yes, five figures). Even with the 60% discount the frequently offer, the bill would have been over $ 5,000.
We went across the street to a different Hobby store, and had the same item priced at less than $ 500. That’s 4% the cost that Michael’s wanted to charge us!
I doubt we will have anything else framed at Michael’s
