I’ve passed through the area many times through the years and found this delightful little country store that had a great selection of old time candy… and it was sugar free even. This place once was «tourist trap» famous for their Rooster Run Kentucky hats… and gift store… but no more.
It has been purchased from the original owners and the new owners have done away with just about anything that made this place special. It’s like any other gas/convenience store now. The Gift store was closed and the only remnant from the old Rooster Run days was the rustic looking building and the big fiberglass chicken.
If you need gas, or something to snack or drink on you can stop here, but don’t expect it to be the tourist attraction it once was.
