The POPs are definitely 5 star ! Lots of different flavor choices along with multiple toppings! Yummy. Unfortunately the helps attitude was very rude and not very friendly. This is not the first time we have been there and every time the same two people were manning the shop and we encountered the same attitudes. It is too bad because they don’t make you want to go back!

Despite there being an ice cream shop on almost every block in LBI Poppy’s holds its own in Barnegat Light. I recently had the blueberry graham ice cream and it was delicious and unique. The blueberries tasted fresh and the bits of graham cracker was great. The caramel pretzel was also a good choice! This is another spot on the island that gets crowded so watch for the lines.

It’s an institution on the island. Folks are willing to wait upwards of 30 minutes for ice cream. My kids loved the waffle bowls. Place is crazy crowded so not a lot of time to sample. Only really annoying thing is they don’t take credit cards(several places nearby don’t which is annoying in this day and age).

Poppy’s is always poppin’ I know, I know, so original. Didn’t see that one coming. As other reviews have stated the lines here can be pretty bad if you happen to come by at the wrong time(like… after dinner on any day during the summer). Apparently a lot of folks think it’s worth wating for. I gotta say, they’re probably right. Always a hit with the fam. I usually enjoy a milkshake.

Do not come here unless you have time ti wait, but its worth the wait. I had a brownie sundae and it is very good. The mint chocolate chip my wife had was SUPERMINTY. The shake was good my aunt said and the ice cream as a whole is good. Decent prices and friendly staff.

Great ice cream, great flavors, and a great time. The line outside moves fairly quickly and it’s worth the wait. The nutter butter is amazing as well as the Jersey Shore(salted caramel).

The best ice cream on the island, by far. Friendly service. Salted caramel is my son’s go-to. Mine is the black raspberry. Really spacious outdoor seating allows you to really sit and enjoy your treat. And because its at the north end of the island, its not as crowded as some of the other joints.

Bright, friendly place and atmosphere. great staff and Service! Lovely seating indoors and out, and very reasonably priced for the area considering we stay 3 miles away and closer to the other North End parlor. Will be back for sure!

Ah, another local business bites the dust and up from the ashes rises a new one. Poppy’s(used to be Carousel Ice Cream) is very similar to its predecessor. Multiple kinds of hard ice cream, some soft, and makes good, thick milkshakes. If you order a sundae, you spin the wheel to see how much you pay for it(there is FREE on the wheel!). Typical long line in the evenings during the summer but the staff has it down to efficiently move the line. Seating both inside and outside. Plenty of parking.
