Great place! The ham and cheese omelette was very good and the home made pie was out of this world.

Good basic country cooking. Nothing fancy but a ton of food, friendly staff and a cozy feel to the place. Worth the trip off the beaten path!

Hey, I want to warn you if you order blueberry pancakes, you better be strong enough to lift them. Traveled all over the country and no one makes food like lucielles. The blueberry pancakes were the best I’ve «ever» eaten in my life. The chile, beef stew, pies are outrageous. Omelets are the type were you won’t eat for the rest of the day and delicious. Like I’ve said before, the ride from toms river area is worth it. Coffee is the best too. Hot Rod

I love going to eat at Lucille’s. Good diner food and a cool pine-barren atmosphere. Very friendly environment.

Great food and friendly service! The pancakes were quite large and fluffy. Had them with well seasoned home fries and thinly sliced scrapple. The piney clam chowder was also very tasty. Lots of clams and vegetables. Definitely will be coming back. They do close early(around 3) and it is a cash only establishment.

Stopped here yesterday for breakfast on our way to Atlantic City. I ordered a mushroom & cheese omelet w/a side of sausage patties, my wife had French Toast. I liked my omelet, was tasty, sausage was also very good. My wife, on the other hand, was not thrilled with her French Toast — it was dry white bread, and very lightly drenched. Portion size also looked very underwhelming. Service was good though, bathrooms were also clean. Place was only half full(so no wait, as other reviewers have stated), but it was 9:15am on a Wednesday morning. My In-Laws liked their breakfasts, we would certainly stop back in again on any future trip to AC, but I wouldn’t recommend the French Toast.

Long wait for food, but really nice staff and the food was great! Got a classic Jersey breakast sandwich PEC, and it was everything you want.

Don’t let the looks of this place fool you. Friendly service and delicious food. We stop in here for breakfast whenever we are in LBI. Best pancakes around!

I’ve been brought here twice by the crew of Pines Barrens Adventure Motorcycling for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This little shack looks rundown from the outside, but inside is a gem of fine country cooking. We had quite a crew, almost 16 people and everyone loved their lunch. I ordered a chicken caesar salad with coffee, both were fresh and delicious. Every time I’ve gone in to use the bathroom(We ate outside) there were fresh baked pies of all flavors for purchase. I highly recommend! I guess I should mention, this is a great area for motorcycle riding, and bikes are welcome here!

Saw Lucille’s while driving by and gave it a shot. Was blown away! Fantastic country style food! Pancakes were huge and fluffy, eggs perfectly cooked, and they have the best«Shit on a Shingle» outside of your own Grandma’s kitchen!!! Highly recommend!

Great little place. Great prices. A good place to stop on the way to the shore. Quick service. All kinds of people in there. One guy rolled up on is lawn tractor. Home fries were over cooked a bit but other than that the food was great.

Located a bit off the beaten path, this tiny restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Found it after hiking and stopped in for breakfast. Very small — several tables and a counter. I loved everything about this place — reasonably priced, food portions were large and tasty, service was fast and friendly, and it has a great local small town feel. I had the Italian Omelette and with grits on the side. Couldn’t resist a slice of apple pie, which was incredible. I highly recommend eating here and find it way better than the Stafford Diner up the road. I’m definitely going to be coming here more often now. Try to get here early for breakfast as the restaurant can fill very quickly. Also, they don’t accept cards — bring cash.

I absolutely love this place. I pass it twice a day, every day, and the days that I have time to stop — well, it’s always worth it. The eggs over medium are always PERFECT so I find myself ordering them all… the… time. There’s nothing fancy, but the prices are low, the food is terrific and the staff has always been friendly.

It just doesn’t get any better than Lucille’s! Stopping here was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. The food was perfect — just like mom used to make — and the prices are awesome! Make sure you save room for the pie — its delicious with a perfect flaky crust. Remember to bring cash, because they don’t take credit cards, but it’s absolutely worth a trip to the ATM(the prices are low, so you don’t need much!) and a drive to the boonies of New Jersey. If you go, tell them the California road tripping honeymooners sent you — I bet they’d get a kick out of that!
