MainStay Suites Barnesville – Frackville

It’s a beautiful place to stay. It’s very clean. The only two negatives is that the television’s are small and some of the staff could use some customer service training.

We recently stayed at MainStay Suites because my husband was golfing at the course nearby. The manager who assisted with our check-​in was very accommodating. I am on crutches and unable to walk. The manager let us know that the elevator was currently broken, and that a mechanic was working on it. She volunteered to rearrange things so that we could have a room on the first floor, then spent 10 minutes working to find us a room, while repeatedly apologizing for the inconvenience. We greatly appreciated her willingness to work around the elevator issue.
The rooms were very clean and we were pleasantly surprised to find a kitchenette. The staff was professional, free Wi-​Fi was offered, and the complementary breakfast was a nice bonus. If we visited Mountain Valley Golf Course again we would happily stay here.

The rooms were seemingly clean and spacious… BUT BEWARE… they allow pets or animals in all rooms, and do not tell you when you arrive. Sure. pet-​friendly, but who wants to hear big dogs running back and forth in the room above in the morning? I had to call 3 times to get them to stop and only until they checked out did it stop!
They allow SMOKING on the same floor. Nothing like smelling cigars all night!
What a hick place! Cigars smells, and pet dander.
Why don’t they dedicate floors or wings to these «activities» so other non-​smokers or non-​pet owners do not get subjected to the inconveniences! Guess that is too intelligent.
No manager on premise… for the three days we were there.
Elevators did NOT work for the three days we were there… not great if you are handicapped as I am.
After reading other reviews about getting a topfloor room for quiet, I was disappointed that we could not.

Were visiting for a wedding. Extremely clean, I absolutely loved it!!! I am very picky about the hotels I stay in and I would highly recommend this particular hotel. Front desk staff was also very friendly.
