I am lucky I have family that lives in Osterville. This is the beach we come to if there are no dogs visiting. It is also a fun place to bring the kayaks in the back of the beach.

Eh. Small. Parking isn’t great. Tons of shells and seaweed. Water is cold. I’m just used to better quality beaches in Jersey, Carolinas, and Florida. It is, however, nestled, in an absolutely beautiful town. Homes are amazing and there is definitely money here.

Get in before noon, otherwise join the line. In the summer you need a resident sticker to get into the parking lot, but walking or biking in is free. After 5:00PM is free to park and non-summer days are free to park. Lifeguards on duty during the summer and there are restrooms that close at 4:30PM. The beach is a nice size. Lots of seashells and seaweed, typical of a New England beach. Water is murky and there some tiny crabs that may nibble on your feet. Ice cream truck vendor, but that’s it for food. There is a dock on the far side for fishing and the marina side has a small beach with fewer waves, so good for babies. Sun sets behind the beach over the marina, not over the ocean. Remember your facing south.

Beautiful beach with great structure and a causeway– 360* views! The parking lot is very small but that adds to the charm of the place. They have lifeguards in the summer and it is breathtaking in the winter. Great spot!
