Exile On Main Street

While walking around downtown Barre (which I would recommend) we came upon Exile On Main Street record store. I went in and started poking around, not really knowing what I was looking for. I was pleased to see a few leftover items from Record Store Day that I wasn’t able to find at my local store. The people working there were really helpful and even checked on line for an album I mentioned but they didn’t have. Everything was well organized and they have an impressive collection of Beatles’ vinyl on display! For what I would consider a small town store, I thought it was a great little place. I’ll definitely stop in on my next visit to Barre! As a previous reviewer said, they may be a little higher than what you would pay on eBay but I don’t mind when the service is that good.

Giving it three stars as there was quite a few records, in pretty good condition, and well organized. Overpriced though. I’m only interested in used vinyl (for the most part) and almost every record I considered was 2X what it should have been. I want to support stores and know how hard it is for them to keep in business. I’ll often buy 1 – 2 records just for support even if there is nothing I really need. But here? I’m not dropping $ 8 on what are often $ 2 – 3 records elsewhere. Sorry.
