Cooper’s Pizza

Absolutely one of the best burgers in the chicago area. And don’t even get me started on the chips! They make them in house and they are amazing! The owner Scott is always there to make sure your experience is everything you could ask for. Staff are very accommodating and personable. I’ve eaten here on multiple ocasions and it never disappoints!

Amazing! The smokehouse salad is incredible. Great service and the food is so fresh!

Cooper’s has something for everybody, given their wide array of burgers, wraps, salads, and sandwiches, with the Buffalo Chicken Wrap being one of my all time favorites! I always leave satisfied, and it’s defiantly worth a try if you’ve never been here before!

Someone brought me a salad at work one day and I couldn’t stop raving about it. Turns out it was the Granny Apple Salad from Cooper’s in Barrington. I can’t even tell you how good that salad is. The ingredients are so fresh, the chicken perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the dressing was perfection! I’ve been impressed with everything I’ve tried from Cooper’s! Their pizzas are great too! If you haven’t tried Cooper’s yet, you need to! Better than some fine dining restaurants I’ve been to!

great pizza!!! but the fact that i ordered a pizza at 6:30 pm and it finally got delivered at 8:15 is unacceptable! no comp no apology no anything!!! thanks but no thanks cooper pizza!!!

Worth the wait for the pizza. If u are planning to have one, think about ordering ahead. This is a cozy place in the heart of Barrington and very awesome staff. The place filled up as we waited for the food. The salads and sandwiches that came out for other tables, came out much quicker and looked awesome. Will be trying some salads next time.

The Spicy Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla? To die for! Always served hot, with plenty of fresh sides! Don’t miss it! Worth the stop!

I have to say hands down best deep dish pizza in town. Scott is a great man and will make feel at home. I will definitely be back here when am in town.

Cooper’s is great for dine in or carry out. This our «go to» place for carry out for the kids. Awesome pizza and incredible barbeque. Delivery is always hot and shows up on time.
If you are dinning in, try the Granny Apple salad, all ingredients are fresh.

I just had a baby. Why is that relevant? Because for the last 9 months, Coopers has been my go-​to pregnancy pizza provider. This review is for delivery only. We haven’t eaten in the restaurant.
Coopers is yum. Do they take a little long occasionally? Sure. Is it worth the wait? Absolutely. You can count on a solid hour delivery time, sometimes a smidge more. However, the food arrives hot and delicious… so who cares?!
Our go-​to pizza in the pizza margarita. It’s perfection on a pie crust! The ingredients always taste fresh. This pizza has olive oil, sliced plum tomato, buffalo mozzarella, garlic, parmesan, Romano, and fresh basil. Ask them to cut it in squares instead of wedges… it tastes even better :)
I’ve also tried several dinner salads and their wings. Everything is fresh and consistently good. I highly recommend Coopers for a no-​cook night at home!

UPDATE: I went back and it appears their cooking time has improved!
I soooo want to give Cooper’s 5 stars… The pizza is off the hook good, the wings are awesome and their salads are great.
If you’re not pressed for time, like someone else shared, add 15 minutes to the pick up time quoted and you’ll have an amazing pizza when you finally get it.

Salads rock. Great craft beer selection. Nice staff, fair prices. Parking can be an issue, I recommend the garage or lot across the street.

Not sure I’d go back… the place is stuffy and needs to be cleaned. The food is bland also pricy for what you get. You can find better food in the area look around!

I want to like this place, I really do. They’re close to my house, the pizza is pretty good, and the secret barbecue menu is very promising. However, every trip here ends with something bizarre happening that makes me question another return trip.
In no specific order:
1. My wife’s deep dish pizza was given to another customer WHO DIDN’T EVEN ORDER FROM COOPERS. This person walked into the wrong pizza place and left with our pizza. To add insult to (first world) injury, there was no offer to make it right by Coopers. I would expect a free pizza, not a «please wait another 40 minutes for us to make you another pizza and charge you full price.»
2. The food is always slow: We now build an extra 10 – 15 into our wait time when we order take-​out.
3. The prices: We ate off the «experimental barbecue menu» and for 2 BBQ meals, a hamburger and a salad the bill was $ 75. Apparently secret menus have secret prices. I think the BBQ was $ 20/​plate. Ouch. And the $ 5 discount card isn’t going to help this problem.
4. Bizarre policies: Burgers only done medium well. What? Why?
Again, I really want to like Coopers, it’s local, it’s not a chain, the owner is frequently sitting in the restaurant. But based on numerous experiences here, I don’t think I can keep showing up hoping something has changed.

I am sitting here in the restaurant as I write this review. It’s been half an hour, there’s two other tables here, and we haven’t gotten served the one pizza that we ordered? Also they seem to be severely understaffed and their hosts work at the pace of turtles. They don’t have good attitudes either. I’ve finished writing this review and no sight of the pizza. No WAY am I coming back.

Who are these people reviewing this place so highly. I went here on a Friday night with my wife craving a burger. I was told that burgers cooked anything but well done is not allowed when the owner is not cooking. For health code reasons. What??? Need this review to go on??? How can the cooks not know how to cook a burger? What else can’t they cook? I’m not going back to find out.

When I’m in the area… I always try to stop in here… good food, friendly staff and comfortable enviroment… but it its a small place (not cramped either mind you)
I like helping the local businesses because there is a sense of real ‘i give a damn about how you think my business is’ but a;sp showing this… just being natrual company run as a person… you dont really have to work at anything more because when you put effort into your work… I think it shows… and good work should be recognied… hence the review.

I love Cooper’s! The staff is really friendly and the food is great. What more could you ask for in casual neighborhood spot?!
My personal faves are the Mediterranean Salad and the Ceasar Salad. Great portion size and super tasty. My sister and nephew LOVE their Gluten Free Pizza! It’s really hard for people with Gluten allergies to eat out, but Cooper’s has made it easy and convenient without sacrificing flavor.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, I love Cooper’s!
