Usually I enjoy shopping here, but I went this morning around the time it was supposed to open. I got there about 10 minutes before 9, so I went into the other side of Calef’s to browse there until the shop was supposed to open at 9. By the time I tried again, it was 9:15 and there was still not a soul in sight, the doors were locked and all the lights were off. I guess they don’t want business too badly.

This is a fantastic place for locals and tourists alike. They carry a massive assortment of candles, potpourri and fragrance oils, easily the best smelling store I’ve ever been in. Old vintage signs, a large selection of handwoven rugs, mason jars and other old fashioned knick knacks round out the place and you’ll probably find something here you’ll enjoy.
