I moved to Bartlesville last summer, and needed new tires on my older vehicle. Firestone seemed like a reasonable place to go. So after purchasing the tires and having them installed, the guy told me that my car was having trouble starting, and that they really had to work to get it into the garage (kept dying on them!). This had never been a problem before, so I was quite surprised. So I got into the car, started it – and of course it died right away. Eventually, I was able to balance the throttle just right to keep it running for a few minutes, then it was fine. As far as I can tell, they must have flooded the engine. Luckily I figured it out on my own, or else they’d have me in a tight spot.
Overall, I was fine with the tires, and they got them installed in a timely fashion. But if they’re going to cause other problems with my car, there’s no way I’ll be going back.
