In the summer of 2014, I contacted several roofers to get an estimate for a new roof. The results were dismal: people never returned my calls, they were out of my budget, they tried to upsell me, etc.
Then I contacted A & D Exteriors, who I heard about through the Carol Stream Chamber of Commerce. Heidi Grashel, their project coordinator, came out the next day and gave me a quote within my budget.
I accepted the quote and asked what kind of deposit they needed (I expected to pay half). She said no deposit. She said I don’t have to pay a penny until after the work is complete and I’m completely satisfied. Wow!
Once we set a date, the crew arrived on time and got right to work. They originally said the job would take two days, but they completed it all in just one day. That was a real relief for me, because I have cats and I was so afraid they would be stressed out after prolonged noise.
And here’s another surprise. A 10 year scheduled maintenance is included with their labor warranty. They will come here every two years for an inspection.
I’m glad I contacted those other companies first, because I knew what a value I was getting with A & D Exteriors!

Dustin and his crew just did our roof and did an excellent job! While the roof looks great, more importantly we know that the quality is there. They were polite and on time too. We definitely recommend using them to do your roof!

We spoke to several companies before I decided to join Angie’s list because i didn’t realize how difficult it would be. I came across A & D exteriors. They had such great reviews. Dustin came out and gave me an amazing presentation and was so professional. I am so happy we went with him. He checked on his employees several times and was available to call when I had any questions. Our new roof is beautiful and we felt he cared about us and what we needed. We have since Called for siding issues So Dustin came out to see our siding and agreed it was in pretty bad shape… He again took his time and made it so personal for us. His crew just completed the job yesterday and we now have all new siding to compliment our brand new roof. Everything looks beautiful I have not been happy with the outside of our home in quite some time. My husband and I are thrilled with how fast everything was done and the quality job. No complaints!!! A cool thing he had was this second time we wanted to pay by credit card and he had a card swiper on his iPad which was so handy and quick!

Dustin at A&D Exteriors met all of my needs on the new roof I needed. He was professional and courteous, explaining everything in detail to a novice like me. He was straight-​forward with prices and did a great job. The coolest part was him showing up with an ipad, showing off work he’s done on other houses in my area along with giving me a folder full of information on various services his company provides. Definitely will use him again in the future.
