My stylist was Aquasia and she was wonderful! She had excellent customer service and she did an amazing job on my hair. She listened and performed her job well! I really enjoyed my experience and I will return.

This was my second visit to this location. Both times I’ve done a cut and color, this time we added a keratin treatment and style to the cut and color because it was part of a Groupon purchase.
To book this appointment I called and left a message. They returned my call and I booked the appointment. I had a schedule change so I called back a few days later and they very nicely allowed me to move my appointment back an hour.
I AM SO HAPPY!!! My color is FANTASTIC! My stylist was Crystal C. and she was just fantastic. We started off our appointment with a consultation about what I was looking for. She understood just was I was looking for in regards to color. She called over the Supervisor for a consultation and then we got started. Because Crystal is a student, the procedure does go slower than with a more experienced stylist, but that is to be expected when you are going to a school and making an appointment with a student. Crystal was very methodical and detail oriented. She had an excellent chair-​side manner and was very friendly and professional. After my color had processed she washed my hair, conditioned it, and then added the treatment. My treatment processed under the dryer for 15 or 20 minutes then we rinsed and did my cut. All I asked for was a simple trim. Crystal got a little guidance from another Supervisor on my trim and then began to style my hair. Since it was getting late, another student stylist jumped in and helped finish my blow dry and my style. When I put my glasses on and looked in the mirror I was completely THRILLED! The color is fantastic, even better than what I was imagining! My cut and style were awesome! My hair is super soft from the treatment. I paid $ 14 via Groupon for my cut, style, and keratin treatment and $ 32 for my color. I tipped generously. I feel I got a fantastic value. Even better, my fiancé loves my color!
Most of the students you can book appointments with are Level 1 students. If you still want to try out the school but want someone with more experience, you can book an appointment with a Level 2 student for slightly higher fees.
PROS — Low prices, great student stylists, lots of supervision
CONS — Expect your services to take about twice as long as they would with a more experienced stylist. The main floor where you receive services is fairly loud.
BOTTOM LINE — I have never had color I liked more. I will be back!

Man I wish I had better things to say about this place! I was really looking forward to coming here and having a student cut my hair. See you have to understand that they are students! Not yet professionals. I thought I was going to get a good deal but I ended up spending $ 15.00 for a 2 hour trim. It was definitely a waste of money, I could have gone to a real professional for $ 15.00. The studio itself has a pleasing aesthetic. You know you got the mirrors and all the people with their mannequin dolls styling, cutting, and blowing the hair. I will say the played really good music though. So my stylist has only been in the program for 11 months. I know this because I asked her. By the way she never told me her name or greeted me she just said come back here. She didn’t really understand how to use a guard on the clippers or how to make my hair the way I wanted it. Her supervisor actually ended up finishing my hair and I still had to trim up the sides by myself when I got home. I guess if you’re a girl who needs like a full out color, cut, perm, ext then maybe just maybe you can have some one experiment on your head. I will try again because on Wednesdays they have $ 5.00 cuts for men so we will see if my review changes.

Went with my grandmother to get a shellac manicure and it looked horrible! Not only that but they are very very slow and had maybe 4 colors that were all thrown into a tacky box. I tried to give them one more chance but when I called to make an appointment I could never get ahold of someone. It either went straight to a voicemail that cuts off before u can even leave a message or it would ring and ring and nobody would answer. Definitely would never recommend.

I’ve been here several times. Aside from not being allowed to drink my coffee during an early appointment & several students with no business etiquette (i.e. Standing while the cashier is asking you to leave a tip) my experiences have been great. My stylist (Aquasia Nelson) is phenomenal! It’s hard to believe she’s a student in fact. Aquasia is very professional and respectful. I have been so pleased that I and muy girls only go to her for service.

I need a root touch up & blow out. Parker was fantastic and the instructors were always nearby, first to check that the right color was being used and then frequently during the process. My hair looked great & I will be returning.

Went here twice for a haircut — cons are that it takes a while because they have to get instructions while cutting and need a lot of direction. I felt like I had to walk her through the steps too. BUT for the price — I got what I paid for and walked out with a wash — cut and dry for 12 bucks. Good deal!
Also had my nails done. Took longer than a normal place would but again great deal.
No wait /​they have kept to all appt times.

Came with a groupon deal. The student I had was not very good. I had short short stands when he trimmed my bangs. Rest of my hair looked unchanged. I got a color with my cut and it was terrible. Dye was on the floor, on my clothes, skin when he finished. I lost so many stands due to how harsh he was with my hair during the color. He didn’t wash all the color out. He just wiped the rest of my hair and neck with a towel to rub off excess day. Color poorly distributed. And the coloring was everywhere. I could cut and dye my own hair better!

Do not under any circumstances go here to get your hair cut or colored! I went in for a simple root touch up, highlights and cut. I came out with platinum highlights, red hair and a terrible haircut. These are students and are supposed to be supervised while doing a clients hair. The only supervisor I saw was too busy talking to another person from the office to take any note of what her students were doing. She never once came over to see what was going on with my hair. I have since had my color and cut corrected and the stylist could not believe the mess they had made of my hair. The only thing I could recommend this school for would be children’s buzz cuts. BEWARE!

These students main focus is color and cuts!!! Go here you won’t be disappointed, cheap prices! I personally have my own hair stylist but when she’s not available or I can’t afford it I go here. Its rally chic inside you’ll forget you at a school.

Never again. It took 2 hours to do a simple haircut… that would have been fine had it been a good one. It looked fine when I left, but has been disastrous since the first time I washed and tried to style. Hair length is all over place. Believe it or not, the cut wasn’t even the worst part. They need to teach business etiquette and understanding. My stylist was right next to me when the cashier asked if I wanted to tip. Sooooo rude. I told the cashier to round my total up to $ 20. Instead of doing this, he charged me for a $ 20 tip. Who in the world tips that much? Another student was asking my person questions about an exam — while she was cutting my hair. Very unprofessional. These students need more supervision. The teachers were off to the side chatting with each other the whole time. The students clearly aren’t ready for the real world. Shame on the school for not preparing them.

Me and my daughter went the princess night that was organized very well. My daughter had a blast getting her hair, nails and make up done.

I called and got an apointment with a phase two student that is suppose to know how to do highlights. When I arrived the student that did my hair didn’t have a clue how to do highlights. He was so slow by the time he finished part of my hair the other half was over processed. He toned it twice and I was there from 5:00– 9:30 p.m. They made me pay even though he messed my hair up. Did not fix it I had to go somewhere else and pay to have it fixed. They had about 20 students standing around doing nothing yet they gave me one that was clueless about highlighting. Save your money and go to some one qualified to do hair right the first time.
